Things to Make and Do Go to Google. Type 'Eckhart Tolle' and 'Platinum' into the slot. You can do this just on the Google main page. Or, if you want to be precise, type ET's full name into exact phrase slot and the words 'platinum' and 'seating' into the all words slot. Seating is divided into bronze, silver gold and platinum. SuzyQ, I appreciate the clarification. I suppose we just might have to agree to disagree about Eckhart Tolle though. All he teaches, as far as I can tell, is the importance of quieting the mind and being aware of the present moment. I don't know if the guy is enlightened or simply deluded but I haven't seen any evidence that he has tried taking advantage of anyone. The Oprah followers t

There seems to be a debate...who's worse? Eckhart Tolle or Byron Katire? ET or BK? Eckhart Tolle is no bargain. He claims to be an Enlightened Master, and people believe him? He bashes the Mind yet claims he has an "intense conscious presence of the teacher". It is shocking that so many people seem to just believe anything anyone says. Just short speeches here. but th

QuoteThe AnticultI would agree that outright "supporting" Byron Katie is not the correct word. Its better expressed as creating a "distortion field" and more confusion around Byron Katie, and trying to minimize and deflect from the LGAT aspects of it. To me its not the personal opinion, its the deflection, and the bias and conscious distortion. That does create an open door. Y

K, I checked out Guruphilliac and all the comments. I don't get the impression that he is supporting Byron Katie. He's actually said some very true and rather derogatory things about her. And, just the fact that he is critical about her is enough for me. Apparently, he's not been involved too much with The Work, so he's just giving a general opinion with the information he&

Dear Anti-cult, While I share your surprise at Jody's relatively light treatment (however, keep in mind, his initial post was CRITICIZING her and he has not changed his position on that) of Katie, you are being inappropriate and attacking the wrong target. If you were merely criticizing Katie, I doubt that Jody deleted your comments. If you were ripping on JODY the way you are here, I ca

I guess it's that time of year again. The time when Oprah unleashes another phony guru on the public. I haven't been around much lately but had to check in to see about this Tolle guy everyone seems to be going nuts over. From the bit I've heard, it sounds like the same ego denying, critical thinking stopping, and emotion deadening crapola. Maybe all those people who didn

golfer6716; it is not necessarily bad or evil that they are charging, what is bad is that they are selling "spiritual enlightenment" which in itself is not a commodity -- when one is truly enlightened one does not have to sell their knowledge, it is free for the asking....that is the truth, so when these self-appointed spiritual teachers teach these methods you automatically know they

Guruphiliacs blog was really disappointing. Definitely a conflict of interest going on there. I'd like to take some time to post my response to all this "voluntary" stuff. I think Anticult said it best. It's just part of the game, but it amazes me that this is the point that is repeatedly brought up to try to prove that Byron Katie's School for the Work is not an LGAT

one of the interesting things about the comments from the Byron Katie insider at Guruphilia, is that the main defense is that everything that happens is "voluntary".
