My point is though that this stuff, whatever it contains; truisms, conjecture, opinions, always turns into a bunch of beliefs and a bunch of followers. He knows what he is doing in that regard.

If you make an accusation or a claim, it is incumbent upon you to provide the supporting evidence. As in a court of law, there are ethical and logical reasons why someone is innocent by default until proven guilty.

I agree that, for people who totally mis-understand Eckhart Tolle´s argument, the principles outlined in his books could turn into a belief system. Just as Christians have turned what Jesus said into a belief structure and Buddhists have turned what the Buddha said into a belief structure, so too can the work of Eckhart Tolle be corrupted by people who don´t realise that what Eckhart Tolle ´teaches´ does not belong to him. He does not own the ideas, in the same way that you cannot own the Sun. Buddha only highlighted principles about the nature of the human condition.

Even the best philosopher or logician could NOT falsify the truism that the present moment is the only moment that exists. This is the central tenet of the work of Eckhart Tolle and, accordingly, in trying to dispute this you will quickly corner yourself into a logical check-mate.

You, still, seem to fundamentally misunderstand the logical difference between a ´belief´ and a ´Truth´.

Your analogy comparing Tolle to "Jesus" and "Buddha" transparently demonstrates that becoming a believer in Tolle's teachings is much the same as accepting a religious belief system. Anyone reading this thread can understand and easily realize this through your posts here.

Thank you for offering evidence of the fanatical devotion some people have as true believers in Tolle and his "truth".

Maybe it's time for you to move on though, since you don't seem to have anything new or meaningful to contribute here.

Something Tolle says at the beginning of one of his books, I think it's A New Earth, seemed like an innocuous sentence until I started seeing it elsewhere and noticing a pattern:

"If you are [ready/awakened/enlightened] you will [hear/resonate with] these words as true."

Like "the emperor's new clothes"? If you're one of the cool kids you'll be able to see them?

So we have not only social pressure to be part of the "enlightened in-crowd", but also a convenient logical loophole to dismiss doubters. If someone comes in and says "this is bunk", the reply can be "well, you're just not enlightened enough to understand it yet."
