Yes they did. I think it was to save the Valley church, but with Pastor Pinto, whoever that is, sharing the facility it seems only a matter of time for that one to close shop also.

On the flip side, I was a none caring azzhole when they sold the Anaheim church. Looking back now, I should have cared. I know when they sold South Gate people thought that they would buy another facility in Orange County, which I wasn't a fan of at the time, but again looking back... The reason people thought that would happen is because they were led to believe that's what was going to happen.

I'm not bitter about it, but it did suck.

When I was young, I was a firm believer in the moon landing. Now that I'm older and either wiser or senile, I'm not so sure.

I support the separation of church and state but I think it's time for churches to start paying taxes. We all know how easy it is for anyone to say they are a prophet called by God and start a church even if it is all a hoax. The sad thing for the TLWF is it could happen again as suggested by Southgate as the leadership is accountable to no one. I bet that sweet parsonage and the ocean front church in Honolulu are now worth at least 10 million. In the LW the little people give their blood sweat and tears, don't get a tax exemption for all their sacrifice, have no say about the leadership's transfer of property and they just have to suck it up should they loose their facilities. Doesn't sound like a model New Testament Church to me. Oh and come on.....Elvis is dead?

I spent my last seven years in TLWF as a part of the South Gate congregation. I was actually put over the maintenance of the facility by Dan Statton, who at the time, was voicing the mantra that everything was to be done to please Marilyn. Along with the 6-7 weekly services, interspersed with the work obligations (consisting of a small group of people)--it was a crazy time.
G & M seldom visited. I do recall them showing up during the day to take a tour oc the church and taking note of the improvements. About a year after I left, the church was sold. I have no idea where the proceeds went...although there have been a few people who have visited the forum who claimed to have been a member of the South Gate fellowship when the sale went down and insist that the money went 'Marilyn's Trust Fund.' If that is the case, it wouldn't be surprising.

p.s. confession: even though there was a bathroom in the facility that was to be used exclusively by Marilyn, I (on occasion) made use of it. I was very tidy and clean, so never felt really guilty about it...although, in retrospect, I probably should have. I fear it is just a matter of time before she starts chewing me out from the cloud of witnesses...so I'm bracing myself.

HEADBANGER NEWS: Abiding in Mindlessness

"When The Word of God Abides In You"

December 18, 2016

"Our focus remains on the prophecy that we will become a prophetic community wholly led by the Spirit of God." (No sense changing things up at this point, since continuing to circle the mountain is what we do best.)

"But before we can be this people, we have to deal with the unbelief in our minds over the Word of God (that has basically beaten us to a pulp for over half a century)."

Isaiah 11:3 says, “And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, and He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear.” (The perfect recipe for TLW leadership mind control.)

"This prophecy about Christ (TLW leadership) must become our new relationship with the Word." (Ahem!--nothing new here.)

"We cannot be moved by circumstances (giving TLW leadership a license to kill)–we must only be moved by the Word of God (whatever we say)."

"This new relationship with the Word will transform our minds (into mush)."

"If the Word abides in us (obedience without question), we will be set free from (INTO) the bondage of futility, and we will set mankind free (INTO bondage also)."

So you might have been there when I came back, but not for sure. Were you there when Larry Cotton and Bob Merrill left the church? I'm not really sure if they were even a part of SG at that time.

Yes--you will only think what Gary Hargrave tells you to think, believe what Gary Hargrave tells you to believe. This will delight the Lord. He loves zombies!

There is no true separation of church and state as long as people get to write off their donations to the church. I wonder if donations would go down if people couldn't write them off? My guess would be yes.

The more I think about it, you had to have been there when I came back. Before I left again. LOL! I remember Dan when he was 1st put over SG, and he had people singing "Everybody loves Gary and Marilyn". Probably wasn't much longer after that, that I left for a while. Then I came back for a while, and then they sold SG. Just call me Jonah, or at least that popped into my head briefly.
