Damanhur: fraud by Oberto Airaudi to the detriment of Damanhurians and the Revenue Office? 115 properties owned by Airaudi.
The UK independent web magazine MondoRaro has begun its documented investigation into Damanhur with an article questioning why its founder Oberto Airaudi has such a huge personal estate of 115 properties when Damanhurian citizens are required to give all their property to the Community.
Airaudi’s income from the 16,000 paintings he has (supposedly) painted also comes under scrutiny. Many transactions in Damanhur are conducted in cash to avoid paying Italian taxes and certainly receipts of purchase have never been considered essential in the Damanhurian tradition... Exactly how much money has Airaudi really made out of his faithful and doting citizens? His estate is estimated to be worth around 50 million euro.
But more to the point …where has all that money gone? Off shore perhaps?

Damanhur and the time traveler’s revenge.
Oberto Airaudi must be kicking himself this week for teaching his adepts to time travel, after documents proving Damanhur rigged local elections in 1999 appeared on the web.
Some wise ex-Damanhurian must have nipped back to 1999, picked up the necessary documents from the Vidracco District Council Office, then leapt back to 2010 without being noticed.
It’s good to know that all that military training in the Sacred Wood has finally come in useful.

The Fall of the Empire
We are about to see the fall of the Damanhur Empire.
We will witness the end of its chosen people and their disgusting lies.
Those who are afraid that the controlling elite of the community will win need not be afraid.
They cannot win.

But the Damanhur Empire is about to fall.
Those who can no longer afford to pay their internal taxes, the quota, or the food that feeds their children, will be cast aside.
Then they will question the disciplines that keep them working for nothing. They will cease to believe the word of their multi-millionaire leader. They will ask for the houses and land that is rightfully theirs.
They will understand that their world was built on lies.
Lies that have grown so fast that even they no longer know how to be truthful.
Whistle blowers are ridiculed and intimidated.
We have all seen that.
When the Empire finally falls, it will make way for a new era of reality and simple truthfulness. Reality will raise its head and smile. Damanhurians will see that it is kindness and truth that makes communities work, not money making regimes.

Damanhur’s Falcopone pays for tax evasion
It would seem in the light of recent events that, Damanhur’s founder and so-called spiritual leader, Oberto Airaudi, the ‘Falco’ has been deserted by his mates. The tax authorities have finally got to him.
This month he has had to pay more than a million euro in evaded taxes on his personal income for the four year period ending 2007. The original sum was estimated at two million two hundred thousand but by taking advantage of new legislation and paying up straight away he managed to save himself a million. Just think, two million euro in evaded taxes* for only four years work. The mind boggles. How much loot has he managed to stash away in 35 years of Damanhur? And his followers, poor dears, up to their ears in debt struggling to pay off the loans on HIS houses.
But there is still hope…
The authorities have yet to examine Falco’s vast undeclared income from the Community.
Criminal proceedings will now begin.
Word is out that there are currently more than 20 legal cases filed against Damanhur.

Lol Oberto reminds me a lot of Al Capone, in the end it was not the sexual abuse and scams on the Damanhurians that did him in, but the tax man. This story that began last year from the deleted Damanhur Witness blog is epic, and I'm really enjoying watching it unfold.

An advertizing campaign has been launched in eight languages to encourage people to join Damanhur on a 'temporary basis'. Those of you who understand how cult recruitment works will know that once you are hooked 'temporary' becomes permanent, with all that full citizenship entails: First you hand over your mind and then your wealth.
Foreign nationals are already arriving at the gates full of enthusiasm to sign up. They obviously have not seen the vast amount of information available on the net. Information from documented sources that questions the image Damanhur presents to the world.

Note how quickly the leaders of this group figured out that it would be of tactical value to appear to be 'Green' and into ecovillage, after years of annoying the neighbors and messing up the local landcape by building in concrete.
Anything fashionable, whether its being Green or 'sustainable' or yoga is just the thing that can be exploited.
Always fact check.
It is vital to have hope and ideals. But remember, your ideals are precious and bring you not only energy, but make you vulnerable as falling in love does.
Is a group leader someone who sees you as a person?
Or sees you as a mere energy donor.
Fact check. Find out whether anyone left that group and why.
Just the way we are advised to find out if someone we want to date long term is OK or is hiding that they have a dangerous background.

I was eager to please eager to be accepted and I completely ignored all the warning signs (that are only to clear to me now), in my desperate desire to become a member of Damanhur’s chosen elite.

On the 6th of June 2012, the Italian public television channel RAI3 broadcast a program on Damanhur as part of its new investigative series ‘Off the Report’. The program takes an in depth look at various aspects of Community life including the voting practices used by the Community to take over the administration of the Council of Vidracco in order to further its own political and economic aims. The program interviews Falco, Damanhur’s charismatic leader, local and national politicians, state administrators, magistrates, and current and former members of the Community on a wide range of issues concerning the nature of Damanhur and the source of its economic wealth.
