This is a sample of the mindset that persists in the Chris Butler cult, a leftover of the hippie culture (the bad part of it). Unfortunately, there are still people especially among yoga practitioners and the "joiners" that find this culture "cute"; fortunately, they are becoming a minority nowadays.

In reality "joiners" join but it has got nothing to do with God or discipline, just pure "cuteness" and Chris Butler is the master of "cuteness". Just listen to his stupid voice. People do love to "feel good" and "look cute", I mean "look good". So whether we like or not, cults like the Science of Identity will still be adequately marketable. And they are making adjustments to look "cool". I doubt if they even practice the regulative principles anymore. For all you know they watch porn all the time and the couples are procreating like rabbits.

Like frogs, they live in a dark and isolated well, to them is the Universe. Once in a while they get to hop out to see that there are ponds outside and as far as their eyes can see, but will hop in back there again and continue to live in denial. Well, denial has a price and consequences. You get to live in fear when there is none and help sustain a bigger, darker world where people are actually threatened and get hurt. There are victims. All cults have, it is cult's very nature, no matter how good they look from the outside cults by definition and practices have no place in an open and modern society.

My hope is for the children to be able to crawl out of the well and get rid of their bubbles to see the well for what is it — a make-believe damp, cramped and empty Universe concocted by a pretender. Otherwise, Social Services should get involved.

* THE BOOK OF RULES ~ It's too bad that no-one on this forum has access to this long document that was written by Chris Butler around 1988. While other "spiritual masters" within the same Krishna cult were writing books on how to take care of and worship wooden deities, Mr. Butler wrote a several-hundred page book on how to take care of and worship .... HIMSELF!

At that time I was still on the mailing list and Prema dasi did send me a copy of this document via the mail. I distinctly remember opening up the parcel and glancing momentarily at that huge dossier. After reading literally a couple of sentences, I placed the large document back into the envelope and went immediately back to the postal office and wrote "RETURN TO SENDER" on the envelope and sent it back to Honolulu. I felt that I certainly did not need such nonsense at that time in my life.

And this document was considered "TOP SECRET" ... Mr. Butler did at one time get enraged because one of his followers had accidentally left this document on a public transport vehicle and it was "stolen" ... So if anyone out there can get hold of this document it would certainly make an interesting topic for this forum.

Especially interesting are the rules and regulations about the servants and guards not allowed to laugh at Butler's weak jokes with his Queen Bee and her family as he was out on his holidays at the ski resorts etc! They were supposed to stand there like zombies as Butler was enjoying life with his eternal consort! I never did get to meet the Queen Bee's children but I understand that one of them is named "Siddha" (?) so I can just envision a scenario of big Siddha being extra sweet to little Siddha ... kind of like the way that Doctor Evil was so sweet to Mini-Me in the Austin Powers movies?

* REINCARNATION EXPLAINED is a book written by Chris Butler in the 1980s, and while I have no criticism against anyone's religious beliefs, what is noteworthy about this book is that it has no less than 31 full page pictures of ... you guessed it ... CHRIS BUTLER! Many people who saw this book immediately commented on the egocentric nature of these photographs.

* THE GREAT AIR-CONDITIONER CONSPIRACY ~ Yes Mr. Butler did accuse his disciples of a conspiracy to kill him after he entered his home to find the air-conditioner set too high. Although Chris was fit enough to go surfing all day long, he apparently was unable to turn the air-conditioning unit to his preferred setting or to open a window to regulate the temperature of his home. He obviously saw this as an opportunity to curse his "disciples" - which seemed to be his favorite pastime in those days.

Yet despite the fearless leader's obvious paranoid delusions, he has failed to be aware of, in my opinion, a much greater conspiracy being played out by his beloved neo-Nazi style political parties and his beloved Fox/CNN propaganda machine. Mr. Butler BLINDLY accepted everything they reported as TRUTH ... whereas any astute observer with access to the internet and with a healthy dose of intuition can perceive that there is indeed a conspiracy so HUGE that the average man in the street does not believe it could exist.

Here is that information I promised about Wai Lana and Richard Bellord’s eldest son. I still have more to write later regarding Richard and his continued devotion to Chris Butler. Richard Valentine (Siddha) Bellord-Windham, Jr. was born in 1975 making him 38 years old at present. I’ll call him Junior since he lays claim to his birth father’s royal blood and his step-father’s devotees.

This is the opinion I would add to this factual first-hand account of Anti Chris: It is alleged that he boy who contracted the venereal disease at the school was none other than Siddha’s step son Siddha Bellord. Anyone who knew that was sworn to secrecy. No one was supposed to know outside the school but the rumors leaked out anyway. It is ironic because the boys allowed in the school had to really be into it. Notice that the gurukulis did not get any support or help from within the cult until an “outsider” filed a law suit. It was when most of the gurukulis were in their thirties. The first wave of the Butler kult kids are now in their 30’s. It will truly be up to them to come forward and break silence. No help came for Bhakti from his father, a leader in the cult, nor from the cult itself. It had to come from ironically, from an ex member of the dreaded ISKCON camp [regarding Henry’s jailhouse visit].

Lessons can be learned from the ISKCON gurukulis. It might be very informative and helpful if adults who were raised in Butler’s cult contacted the group that successfully sued. Compare and contrast the similarites and differences. Learn from their mistakes as well as their triumphs.

I implore and humbly ask former Butler kids to make an effort to protect all the children now and in the future who will become damaged by this cult and their childhoods stolen as yours have been. The idea of karma is not meant to prevent you from acting and doing in this life for the benefit of others. You know the scam more than anyone. You hold the most powerful keys to bust this crazy person who uses his so-called enlightenment to enslave thousands for his own multimillionaire lifestyle. Do you think Butler saying he was sorry for what happened to Shyam’s sister is enough to make up for the abuses and lost years?

The culture you were raised in does not value helping others beyond the scope of being useful to Butler and his narccisistic mirror. Do not think that you can’t have an impact. Those gurukuli kids and their lawyer changed the face of ISKCON and forced it to reform, at least for a while in America. [There are continuous reports of abuse in the schools in India. see Child Abuse in Vrndavan Gurukula. The point is that children have no business being raised in ashram environments far from parents and the family structure…. but isn’t that precisely what all these gurus attack and undermine first!?].

You may or may not succeed in helping any children still in the cult, but you may prevent many from stringing their children along if they knew the truth about the outcome. I know it is hard to go contrary to some of the good people, your friends and family still in the cult, but don’t you think it would be worth the effort? Do you really think you can just go on with your life and put the past behind you if you hold vital information that can help others?

I can’t tell you what strategy to use. You may or may not agree with any of us on this forum on how to go about exposing the lies, but don’t you think it would be a worthy endeavor to at least try?

I have to emphasize that when I was 4, I didn’t make the choice, unlike adults, to join a religion that celebrates poverty, lack of family, and viewing the world as a Kali Yuga hellhole that we must leave ASAP. Now as a result, many of us have grown up into exactly what was planned for us — emotionally disturbed, unskilled losers, while many others around us who had normal childhoods are prospering with happy lives complete with families of their own. It’s no wonder some have attempted or chosen to end their lives through suicide.
As I began, in ’98 I had many talks with the temple authorities about solutions, such as offering former gurukulis support, employment, counseling, help with going to college, etc., and I was never offered a single lead in any of these areas. It had to come down to someone outside of ISKCON — Windle Turley and a lawsuit — to make any change.
And on the topic of the amounts that are compensated to former gurukulis, I can tell you firsthand, since I am one of the Turley claimants. It works out to about two thousand dollars twice a year for 4 years — about enough to pay rent and bills for a short time. So anyone thinking there was a lot of money involved, they are simply wrong. It’s a pittance for a stolen childhood and a bleak future.
