Good stuff on Moo here from Lara Greenbridge:

excerpt: "I went online and googled information pertaining to the Mooji group being a cult. And.... Bingo! It did not take me long to find many different complaints from people who had returned from that ashram with psychological problems. Not only that, but there are plenty of allegations out there of 'psychological abuse', Mooji being a 'pathological narcissist', the group using coercion, 'brain-washing' and exploiting people for money, donations, whatever.

The worst of it it was Mooji being accused of approaching different young women for sex, some of who are in very vulnerable positions, due to their unfortunate life circumstances, ie, they were reliant on the Mooji group for accommodation and meals and basically had nowhere else to go.

So, what I am saying folks, is to be very careful when choosing a guru! Do some research.

Ok, I know many of you will be thinking that these allegations are false, but there are so many allegations across different websites coming from different sources, using different language, different wording, some from people who obviously speak English as a second language ..... For every one of these stories to have no substance seems highly unlikely to me.

Please be careful."

More breaking news from the Mooji Sangha Facebook page, where Tony Moo is frequently compared to Jesus, and is thus undergoing some kind of ritual persecution, ultimately to benefit us all, I believe...

In response to Moo's denial video, a woman called 'Christine' writes this, effectively accusing her Guru of "being in his mind", so it seems:

"Concern for personal reputation is mentioned in the video and is written in the letter posted above. What I've learned from these teachings is that to have a personal reputation requires a personal identity. This is what must be transcended. How could a person surrounded by SO MUCH LOVE still be concerned for what people think about him? This is what needs to be transcended.

Unfortunately when gurus are surrounded by so much unquestionable blind love and extreme devotion, as often expressed here, there is nobody around to point out these flaws. And according to messages here, the guru is a human and demonstrates great humility, and has occasionally admitted to having flaws.

Then instead of defending without thinking of the teachings, you should have great faith that he would truly appreciate receiving this message, and do so with the greatest humility. We simply need other people to call us out on our 'stuff'' when we lose sight of it. That's what good friends do - that is true compassion. The guru may only be disappointed that his own students are not paying attention to his teachings. Extreme deification is not the answer, and in fact contributes to the problem, and the need to cover these things up.

I truly appreciate being allowed the space here to state my beliefs, and appreciate the open discussion. Thank you."

I'm surprised Christine's comment hasn't been censored by the censorship team yet! They've dropped the ball!

'Stella' then accuses 'Christine' of projection:

"Hi Christine, I think you have some projection going on here and need to step back from your own perceptions."

Ohhhhh.... I think 'Stella' must also be in her mind to come out with that sharp rebuke!

Stella is here accusing Christine of being in her mind in order to accuse Mooji of being in his mind... yet the ultimate irony is this: Stella herself is in her mind!

Yes.... there is a lot of 'mind' going on over there among the cult members.

Meanwhile, Tony has not yet announced that he is indeed the Second Coming of Christ, and I for one am getting impatient!!

Just say it, Tony. Tell the world who you really are.

Some important advice for those intending to travel to India to watch the Tony Moo show for free for a couple of weeks - people with mental illness are warned to stay away!

Apparently Tony's musing can send you completely around the twist, if you are in a vulnerable state already.

From the official Moo site:

• Satsang is not a replacement for any therapy or other medical treatment or diagnosis. If you are currently receiving or have previously received any medical treatment or therapy for issues related to mental health, Satsang may not be suitable for you. If you have a history of serious mental health conditions, it is not advisable to attend the Open Satsang program without ensuring it is reasonably safe to do so. Please check with a specialist healthcare practitioner whether attending the Open Satsang program is suitable for you at this time. More information can be found in the Physical and Mental Well-being FAQs.

and also:

• Occasionally, being in such an environment can adversely affect pre-existing mental health conditions. It may bring up latent traumatic imprints or deep-rooted tendencies in the body-mind, which can trigger strong, seemingly overwhelming, thoughts, emotional responses and behaviour. Satsang may offer an opportunity to recognise, release and transcend these states. However, a participant with a mental health condition may feel overwhelmed by this, and so additional medical and psychiatric support may be required. Please be aware that we are not able to provide this type of support or expertise.

I guess that rules out around half or the regular Moo Cult attendees... numbers are bound to be down.

They make it quite clear that you are on your own with whatever problems arise during the Moo Satsangs - No support is provided.

There is also another funny little piece of advice on the official Moo site: Mooji does not want to hear your personal stories, so keep those to yourself!!

(He will talk about his own stories at length, however, and bore everyone stupid.)

On the Mooji Sagha Facebook page today (the official fb page)

In response to a Moo Cult indoctrination video being shared on Youtube called, enticingly- "Drop Yourself"

'Micheal' writes:

"Good luck with that one as it is not possible. If you are naive enough to think you will never experience the mind or thoughts again then it is just another illusion. We were designed by God to experience mind, body and soul, and if you didn't you would become a living corpse or dead inside. People on here talk about waking up but end up talking in riddles that make no sense. We are human for goodness sake, and I hate to disappoint people but until this body passes the I that is now will remain so."

'Micheal' is so disgruntled by now that he doesn't even bother with the cursory 'Namaste' at the end of his post! He has all but given up on his cult and who could blame him for that?

But where are the censorship team and why is Micheal still allowed to keep posting his increasingly disenchanted comments?

The censors really need to 'wake up' themselves! lol.

I did find this gem on gururating.org today:

Mooji is a dangerous sham- he uses dissociation and trance states to addict people to his nonsense. And then, in good tyrant fashion, aggressively squashes any dissent, horrifically calling it ‘the mind’. Charles Mansion would tell the girls who ended up killing people: “thinking is stinking”. Don’t stop thinking, ever!
An example of killing decent, his instagram post from a few days ago: [www.instagram.com]
“In recent weeks, it has come to our attention that certain individuals – many anonymous – have taken to digital platforms to spread false and harmful rumours about our teacher”
He’s evil.
A question for anyone who made it out of this nonsense alive, what do you recommend for coming back to yourself and reality? Its been tough for me, because so much of the control happened by putting me in states outside of my conscious mind- this feels extra scary, and hard to heal from.

It might be an exaggeration to compare Tony to Charlie, however I do remember seeing that footage of the girls who killed for Manson being led into court smiling inappropriately, looking completely vacant and starry eyed. They had that look about them- the same look as the women at Moo's compound have.

Hypnotized.

I tried to set up a website called Free At Last to expose the abuses experienced at Mooji’s camp. They contacted the web host and had it removed. Beware those who would defend their brand with one hand but make people dependent on them with psychological games with the other!

The gururatings dot org website also has an article on Gangaji. The article has some remarks about Pooja.

Someone wrote this in relation to a different group

Somebody wrote this in a discussion of a quite different group called
The Bright Path. They summarized classic methods of cult recruitment, mind and social control.

[forum.culteducation.com]

Here are just two pearls of wisdom from this article:

"Some more modern cults choose remote, beautiful locations that give the false perception of freedom."

and

"If you're told that you need to get out of your mind, or that your problems are based on your thinking, be careful that it’s not simply a way of creating a state of passive acceptance."

"The leader doesn't want adoration! At least that's what he or she says. In reality, they are cultivating an environment in which they are all powerful and anyone who does not demonstrate adoration may be punished.
"

Read this and assess whether any of this matches what you have experienced during your time with Moo.
