Eric Allen Bell is a mystic and even appear on Fox News and elsewhere to champion his anti-Muslim cruscade. His videos are about as New Age and anti-Muslim as you get. I just wonder if anyone knows anythings about this guy and if this guy is a cult leader.

No he's just a exiled ex-lefty film maker who wrote things that were un-PC about radical Islam and was banned for it by the progressive grand pooh bahs.

Certain political parties/groups often resemble cults to a large degree. They have their dogma, enforcers(party officials), a set of taboos, etc. Diviate. In order to progress you have to tote the party line, deviate and then you find friends and connections disappearing. At the extreme level they even have people that will fight and die for the cause.

And the political operatives do utilitze a tremendous about of psychological persuasion skills in order to change people's minds, win them over, etc. I see NLP/Ericksonian hypnosis used by both parties and other techniques used as well. Years back I used to dissect Presidential addresses to the nation for fun. Most read like a hypnotic script or worse a classic example of the "Dr. Fox effect" Google it sometimes.

He actually attack the entire religion of Islam, not just the extremist.

Yes, Eric Allen Bell is in fact a cult leader. He has a "spiritual" website called Global One TV (www.GlobalOne.TV) where he presents himself as someone who is knowledgeable on spiritual matters. The site claims to have had over 30 million visitors and there are at present about 8,500 confirmed followers. He writes articles and blogs about "consciousness" and has appeared on radio shows where he is introduced as a "spiritual leader" or a "spiritual teacher".

This man is very New Age and charismatic and has a cult following. His Facebook page has over 20,000 followers and his Twitter page has almost 100,000 followers. People follow this man.

Eric Allen Bell has the audacity to tell people of the Muslim faith that they are following the wrong religion. He is also known to regularly bash Christianity and he has called Judaism "elitist". This man is another Rajneesh in the making. It would be a mistake to dismiss the significance of the influence he has over young people.

Just because somebody is spiritual, charismatic, has followers, and is critical of major world religions does not make one a cult leader. Does he have a group with a totalist structure? Does his organization practice thought reform? What are the origins of the group? Those are the important questions. I'd also tend to think most people who "follow" him on Facebook do so because of his opinions on Islam, and not his new-age ramblings.

What are the finances? Is there transparency of finances? Money is a marker for actual priorities.

Another item:

Does a group have a teaching and or patterns of behavior disclosed to longer term members, but which new recruits or prospective recruits would find repugnant - and would have lead them to leave or avoid recruitment had they known all this in full and up front?

It takes energy to keep secrets from new members and also from the outside world. Secret keeping can become draining and debilitating in the long term.

The intensity of secret keeping may become confused with 'sprituality'.

Privacy is negotiated freely and consensually between equals.

Secrecy is imposed, not negotiated, and is used to create, maintain and protect unbalanced power structures and vested interests.

Any relationship, whether one on one or a larger group, that has ne teaching it presents to the public, rospective members, and new members, but a quite different teaching that is reserved for higher ranking members -- a teaching, which prospective and new members would find repugnant, had they known it early on?

Hello psyborgue.

"Just because somebody is spiritual, charismatic, has followers, and is critical of major world religions does not make one a cult leader. Does he have a group with a totalist structure? "

I am not sure what "totalist structure" is, but in the cult of Eric Allen Bell one is free to come, and go.

"Does his organization practice thought reform?"

I am not sure what thought reform is. However, it is true that Eric attempts to control, and psychologically manipulate what people think, and does it successfully, I might add. I have the screen shot of EAB telling his followers not to associate with Walid Shoebat for no other reason than Shoebat is a Christian.
[i426.photobucket.com]

Over at Eric's Globalone, a feature of Eric Allen Bell you have yet to comment on, one will find a discussion group for "A Course in Miracles" which may qualify as thought reform.

One can listen to Eric Allen Bell's bigotry on the 2/29/12 edition of the Jamie Glazov Show, where he insists that a Muslim woman submit to his "yes", or "no" questions, and renounce Muhammad.
[www.blogtalkradio.com] (@ 25:20)

Eric has the ability to cloud men's minds. Part of his bogus persona is that there is a death warrant on him, and a bounty. He has referenced this bounty hundreds of times on the web. The bounty has the number one quadrillion on it. If that is one quadrillion rupees, that would be over 18 trillion dollars. Moreover, we were told the bounty was for ten million rupees.
[frontpagemag.com]

When, this information was relayed to Eric, he said this -

" . . . the reason for the big numbers is bait for the newspapers. No serious jihadist expects to be paid. The terrorists are indicating how badly they want that person. How in the world, logically, would anyone collect? How would they get into the US, cut off someone's head, and bring it back to Iran or Pakistan? This is equally absurd if the bounty has more zeros or fewer zeros. "

"In every war there are 2 wars - 1 is with the enemy and the other is within. If you are committed to the cause of Counter Jihad, and you have some doubts or concerns about me, I would ask that you address them to me, rather than broadcasting them on the landing page of my website, or in some Facebook thread. The enemy wants us to remain disorganized and unfocused." - EAB

The only one publicizing, and exploiting this Photoshop creation is Eric Allen Bell.

None of his followers remarked that the number on the bounty had twice the number of zeros as the number ten million ( 10,000,000 v. 1,000,000,000,000,000). Moreover, when it was pointed out to him that the bounty night not be real, he gets defensive, and suggests that bringing that up would be aiding the "enemy".

Just this year, Eric said that the bounty is something he will have to live with the rest of his life.

Telling other people what to think or believe is a defining feature of EAB's character.

"What are the origins of the group?"

Again, the origins of the group are at Globalone, a New Age web site. Globalone was started in 2009, and was branded "Global One TV: Online Spiritual Television for a New Age". Globalone is where you will find Eric endorsing "What the Bleep", and the scoundrels from that film such as Dr. Emoto, and John Hagelin.

[liveweb.archive.org]

[liveweb.archive.org]

As you recall, "What the Bleep" was released in 2004. It is now 9 years old, and nearly everyone has commented on the film's connection to Ramtha. WTB was made by three of Ramtha's students to show what they had learned from Ramtha. They named their production company after Ramtha. They give special thanks in the credits to JZ Knight, who is Ramtha, and Ramtha appears in the film repeatedly

I have confronted EAB about his endorsement of this movie that has been described as an infomercial for Ramtha, and twice, he has continued to praise this movie while side stepping the Ramtha connection to WTB.

Indeed, Eric denies any connection to the New Age, and he can not understand why someone would ever mistake him as such.

In addition to praising, and promoting scoundrels like Emoto, Hagelin, Deepak Chopra, and the Maharishi, Eric sells the work of out, and out New Age fraud, Gregg Braden.

What you say about Eric's followers may be true. I don't know what evidence you have to back that up. I have just assumed that Eric's cadre are his New Age followers from Globalone. And, why not? Eric claims millions, and millions of people come through this site. This is where he makes his money. This is where he comes from.

Hi corboy

"What are the finances? Is there transparency of finances? Money is a marker for actual priorities."

There is not transparency. He is funded by anonymous donors, and that has been the case for two to three years now.

Eric does have secrets. When he is pressed on things like the phony "bounty", he says that there are things he can not tell. He has said this sort of thing more than once.

Eric engaged in fraud last year. He told people there was a fatwa on him, there is not. He told people there was a bounty on his head, there is none. He told Israel National Radio that four Pakistani newspapers had called for his death.
Here is Eric Allen Bell saying on Israel National Radio that 4 Pakistani newspapers have called for his death. @10:00 [www.archive2012.faithfreedom.org]
It's not true.
Greater Kashmir is not calling for his death. [www.greaterkashmir.com]
The Kashmir Monitor is not calling for his death. [kashmirmonitor.org]
The Daily Times is not calling for his death. [www.dailytimes.com.pk]\10\01\story_1-10-2012_pg3_5
The Express Tribune is sympathetic to Eric, and not in any way calling for his death. [blogs.tribune.com.pk]
Eric repeatedly used misleading language to make people think he was under FBI protection when he wasn't.

It was on the basis of these lies, that Eric made his appeals for money.

Eric admires frauds, he sells the work of frauds, and he himself engages in fraud.

Update on the 10/12/2012 appearance of Eric Allen Bell on Israel National Radio.

This is the interview where Eric says that his trip to a safe house was payed for through donations to his website, EricAllenBell.com.

He also says that four Pakistani newspapers have called for his death. There are no death threats against Eric Allen Bell in Pakistani newspapers.

[kashmirmonitor.org]

This last link is sympathic to Eric, and is in no way calling for his death.

[blogs.tribune.com.pk]

There is no doubt Eric received maybe more than a hundred death threats on Facebook. However, this was after taunting them for weeks with his talk about bombing Mecca, nuking Mecca, destroying Islam, napalm, etc. Where did he think all that tough talk was heading?

It is almost as if he wanted to be associated with the movie, and wanted a death fatwa.

When he saw his chance, he declaired a fatwa on himself, so that we would feel sorry for him, and donate money.
