Gotta agree with that. Tolle is clearly an Egomaniac, ironically. And now he is a multimillionaire, and will only get much worse. And that is very true, Tolle is comparing people who have serious mental illness, delusions, and even psychosis, to the normal inner dialogue each person has in their minds. That of course is extremely false. Eckhart Tolle is a confidence-man, who is able to p

By the way, the next time some fucking New Age Guru asks you.... ARE YOU READY TO BE AWAKENED?? A good answer might be...NO I AIN'T. - I am not ready to awakened to get upsold 167 products from your website for the next 19 years. - I am not ready to get spoonfed your obvious persuasion tactics. Then one might accidentally trip and dump their water bottle on the sleazy Guru who is tr

Long ago, someone counted all the Eckhart Tolle products, and there were dozens of them. Now there are more than that, there look to be hundreds. And ET also is selling "retreats" which are meant to lure people to locations for that, where the upselling continues. ET is selling almost as many things as Walmart, and more than McDonalds! McDonalds only sells a few dozen things, Eckha

There are other threads going into great detail about the SCAMOLAS being run by Eckhart Tolle. The guys a salesman. and its false about the ET events. He has events, but not as many live events as BK, because obviously ET doesn't like "people" in the personal sense. He wants to set up a detached system, where you buy his DVD's and watch ET-TV as a group, so those are o

yikes, that article is a mess, can't even get through it. The website is selling all sorts of New Age products. The website reads like Tolle Mach II. Creating confusion and ambiguity, and then link to more products/books/DVD's to confuse you some more. As has always been said, if someone is having some significant issues, like any serious medical issue requires a MD, then those

Yes, exactly, the "mind" is not the enemy, its the exact opposite. The Demon Haunted World book linked to, can help with critical thinking training. Playing chess also seems like a great way to counteract the deadened mindlessness. Have fun, go back to playing board games one enjoyed as a kid. Take a college course on an intellectual subject that is interesting. There is no way

There is a lot of falsehoods stated above about Eckhart Tolle. Having researched his material, its clear what he is doing. Tolle is ironically, an Egomaniac, who wants a captive audience to listen to his endless New Agey pontificating, and to send him loads of money, for his endless products. Notice how Tolle does NOT want close personal contact with his followers, just a one-way street from

Its very common to feel a healthy anger after one realizes they have been duped and manipulated and exploited. Sects and cults try to make people feel guilty for that too! Cursing and doing what one is not "supposed" to do, one would think is very healthy, to break out of the system. Unfortunately the mass media has no interest in this, they seem to just have corporate interests t

You have described what goes on perfectly. Eckhart Tolle has constructed his HOURS of internet videos to do exactly that. Build rapport with the viewer, put them into a light-deep hypnotic state, and deepen the rapport. Then install post-hypnotic SUGGESTIONS to buy his books, DVD's, CD's, seminars, and dozens of his other products. Tolle now sells his own online TV-video channel,

Read down those threads on Eckhart Tolle, where ET is pretty much explained top to bottom. Also, the Byron Katie threads. Byron Katie is more aggressive but they are both playing at the "you are a flower" nonsense. By the way, as shown in the Byron Katie thread, they want to make people into wallflowers, as guess why? Those folks will then do what they are told, and buy what they

Think of the vanity and Egomania and irony, of Eckhart Tolle setting up Tolle TV, and charging people a monthly fee of $15 to watch Tolle blather on endlessly. About what? And of course, he is going to be doing a softsell upsell of his other products in those webcasts. One gets the sense that Tolle wants much more than just being on mainstream TV. And if he goes on Letterman, one can take

Often mere mortals are completely blind to their own pathology. From a person looking at Eckhart Tolle from his public presentation, he presents himself as a pseudo-intellectual spiritual Egomaniac, who thinks he is a brilliant intellectual in that area. In fact, he's just taken others ideas, and repackaged them in a fairly pretentious manner, but it looks like many people want to buy that

Last time I checked, none of the new age media Gurus are Jesus or a saint of God. And if a saint of God, or Jesus was alive today, and they claimed to walk on water, then they would have to prove it, like anyone else. Isn't that just common sense? No one here is doing a complete dismissal of EVERY Guru or teacher, and are not criticizing them for no reason. If you look at the facts of w

Its interesting about Eckhart Tolle, he is published by Hay House. Obviously Hay House would do zero "fact checking" or anything else. Since its a New Age publisher, they basically don't believe in "facts", so whatever anyone writes is fine with them. For them, if you believe it, its real. Even the large publishers will publish basically anything if it sells.

as far as hypnosis, it can all get very complicated, but in the end, hypnosis is simply "inward focussed attention". So any type of storytelling/myth is a form of hypnosis. All of the old-style hand waving, swinging watches, and the rest of it, is all superstition, and is not needed. What is needed is LANGUAGE and IMAGES. So that is literally all Byron Katie and Eckhart Tolle do t

"csp" would have been banished, shunned, uninvited from a Eckhart Tolle Group long ago. In those groups, you follow Tolle's "format", so he can "reformat" your brain. - 20 minutes of silence, puts you into a very Deep Hypnotic Trance. - then you watch Eckhart Tolle on the bigscreen TV for 90 minutes, and that goes very deep, as you are in a Trance. - then

another ludicrous thing about Eckhart Tolle, is he, and his people, say that he is not running a New Age religion, or any type of personality cult. Well, that is factually FALSE on both counts. by the way...Tolle's method of 'softening up the Ego' is the exact same technique used by virtually every LGAT group, and every culty group out there. There are only a very few LGAT's that preach Ego-Power to get you to flip into narcissism. Most of them preach a version of what Tolle is preaching, to get passive and get your mind to stop having criticial intelligence. I

This points to several of the many fallacies of Eckhart Tolle. First off, trying to get rid of the so-called "ego" is VERY dangerous for people with mental health issues. Most of those people need to do the opposite and build up some "Ego-Strength" to be able to cope. If they took the Tolle book seriously, many of them would end up on park benches like Tolle says he was, n

These guys never provide any proof for anything...they are too smart for that. That could get them in trouble. What they do is tell vague STORIES. They all do the same thing. Eckhart Tolle: says he was miserable, then became Enlightened, so BUY his products to be Happy like him. Byron Katie: miserable and depressed, attained Enlightenment, BUY her stuff to be happy like she is now 24/7.
