Yes Micheleu, your brother is one of the higher ups and I believe he is living in Nebraska. I believe the last I heard (which has been a few months) he was living in Tim's father in law (Art's) old house with Jayse. Cults alienate members from their families so they will gain complete control over them without any outside influences. Him moving there makes it near impossible for him to

@ Frogla, no problem. It is good to hear from you. I'm afraid I have to agree with Ashbeck, Trent will not believe the letters are false until after April, at which point Tim may allow Trent to blame himself for the failed date, and let him reset one. It is not my desire to slander, hurt, or embarrass anyone. Unfortunately, Tim and the letters have become an idol for them. Plain and simpl

@ Ashbeck and LLG, Well put, there has always been an excuse for failed rapture predictions, some like SDA will say "well Jesus moved into the throne room for investigative judgment" JWs will say "Jesus did come, just not in the flesh" Harold camping will say "Christ came back 'spiritually' I had the calculations wrong, let me postpone 5 months while God tortur

@ braku, the most helpful thing you could do is pray for them. Some of the members are living with each other which actually makes it very dangerous and more difficult to leave-something I presume Tim did on purpose. There is a high no talk rule, I suspect if they were caught looking on this site they would be reported or face a public rebuking and verbal beating and told they are not 'broke

@ LLG yes, you and several others involved in this mess have been essential in my recovery <3 along with prayer and some books I would highly recommend for those coming out of this group to be very helpful (you can even preview several pages on Amazon that will beyond a doubt help you see that it is pretty much word for word what happened in this group) in recovery are: Twisted Scriptures

@ Tig, yes I am not sure if it was from a letter or if it was a sort of ultimatum from Art, but he was not to fully believe the letters until his ex wife came back to him, so all it would take is her returning to him for him to believe. Whether that has changed I do not know. Yes Timothy is saying that 2011 was just an educated guess from him and not God. But there are several letters that state

OH YES BRAKU Tim did say this in one letter from 6/04 I believe he said GOD TOLD HIM THAT JESUS WOULD COME AND 'PLUCK THEM FROM THE EARTH' in 7 YEARS and then in another pdf study that is no longer up Tim said the 'innocent and forgiven' would be raptured only, but wait does that mean not ALL Christians are worthy of forgiveness, only those who earn it through Tim right? The B

I am sorry cult busters, to be honest with you your wife's testimony as to her involvement with Amy C. is something that is very common with cults. It sounds very clear from her videos that she was in a vulnerable place at the time of her recruitment and the cult made a way for her to escape. Something that needs to be made aware is Timothy nor his wife work. They live off of Arthur's

COMMON CHARACTERISTICS OF HOW THE CULTS OPERATE For abusive cults, the key word is CONTROL CONTROL CONTROL by Submitting to the Leadership - leaders tend to be the absolute end, looked to as prophets of God, as specially anointed apostles. Or they can be a strong, controlling, manipulative personality who demands submission even if he changes his views or conflicts occur in doctrine or behavi

Cults also tend to have an "us vs. them" mentality. Members are persuaded to live in a close proximity of one another. This takes care of any outside influences. Ties with friends and family beyond the cult are usually broken completely. And their former family is replaced with the cult family.

Yes that is a very good analogy of Christ! I know I have felt like the orphan and have been guilty of trying to earn God's love and acceptance for me in the past, and I never felt like I could ever say or demand 'Ok now it's your turn God.' But, I have confidence that God has defeated Satan who like a roaring lion seeks to devour us (1 Peter 5:8), and the closer we draw to God

@ Gracevslaw I didn't know it was automatic writing. I guess I just always imagined it was mostly like oral scribing since some of the letters are very long. @ Frogla I am glad you are doing well, I will be praying for your healing. I have been laying most of my fears and anxieties at the feet of Jesus, confessing my wrongs, asking for forgiveness and to forgive others. I have been tr

Yes, I read Sylvia Brown predicted Obama and McCain as the two nominees, so I understand spirits like that can and do also have correct predictions. I guess it's just hard for me to understand how or why someone would write those letters for so many years all the while involving their children and families if it was just for monetary gain. Maybe I am just really naive and don't believe

Yeah, I'm having difficulty dismissing the letter 'Obama Shall Lead You' as being false. I know Zechariah 14 says God will gather the nations against Jerusalem to divide it, so I know that God is the one who will divide it and Israel may not really have much to do with it at all. Especially if a two state solution (which btw the current Pope is a proponent of) is somehow mandated b

No Sparky, that is Harold Camping, but I have read up on it before. If I understand correctly, they do share a few similarities such as the Holy Spirit being removed from the churches, and to come out of the churches. But no, the Letters are not affiliated.

QuoteLLG@SelahSelah - I thought it was God’s will that I give all my possessions to the poor and quit my job and leave my home and family and live on the streets telling people about Jesus. I gave my jewelry away on a Friday, and on Sunday my intervention began. You can see it as a coincidence, but I wonder if it wasn’t a way of testing my faith kind of like Abraham and Isaac (not that I am co

QuoteLLGI too have come to the conclusion that since God ripped the curtain to the Most Holy Place, indicating that we have full access to the throne ourselves, we don't need a mediator, we have an advocator (Jesus Christ) but we don't need a mediator because we come directly to the throne of God as his children. <3Thanks for reminding me. Yes Timothy is back and in full force. It is just hard to separate what you once believed to be true with what you now believe, like LLG said you have to pick out the weeds and sometimes the weeds look like plants. The intense fear and threats that are used in the letters and group blocks any form of rational thinking and clouds your judgment to the highest degree. Anyways, these links sort o

They are merely things that I felt were important to point out that I found to be very similar to something Ellen White said in the 1800s. QuoteSelahSelah Here is also something I think is absolutely crucial and very important for all ex members/ exiting members/ families involved to read. It shows a lot of similarities with the SDA movement that relates to the letters. The SDAs refer to it as the "three angels message." In particular, I see relations with the letters teachings like SDAs saying that Ellen White's

Sorry moderator, my main point was, the Letters from God and His Christ/ Trumpet Call of God Online endorses SDAs and UCG, and those two both have a link to Mormonism. Most Christians do not consider Mormons Christian, while more Christians (who do not really know about their doctrines) accept the SDAs as a modern Christian denomination and not a cult. However, SDA and Mormon doctrines are more

*As a Christian I will state, I personally do NOT think that the 'entities', 'deities', and or 'demons' some may experience from eastern channeling or cult involvement that won't "go away" are just merely "hallucinations". RECOVERY FROM MIND CONTROL HOW DO PEOPLE GET OUT OF RELIGIOUS CULTS? Different people leave in different ways. Some WALK out. Some get KICKED out. Some cult members just BURN OUT. Others GROW out. Still others FIND OUT or get COUNSELED out. WALK OUTS * These people simply rebel from the situation and leave. * Unless they shed the mind control, walk-outs may lead destructive or fear-f

Post-Cult Trauma Syndrome After exiting a cult, an individual may experience a period of intense and often conflicting emotions. She or he may feel relief to be out of the group, but also may feel grief over the loss of positive elements in the cult, such as friendships, a sense of belonging or the feeling of personal worth generated by the group’s stated ideals or mission. The emotional uphea

QuoteLLGfrogla, In the article about psychopaths it mentions the leaders inability to have true emotions and be sympathetic of their members suffering. I'll recount one such instance that happened to me. I shared with Tim and Amy a very harsh experience I went through at home while trying to obey the letters. The reason was because I wanted to hear a letter that I knew one of the other
