BTW, to everyone who contributes to this board, realize we have an unstated policy of banning at least one poster every six months or so. Don't take it too personally if it happens to you. I know if I am the one that gets the axe this time around, I will be very upset for a brief time period (10 years or so), and then do something completely different. Growing tomato plants and/or drinking

Excellent post, Larry. <It’s almost comical now thinking back that I, as well as many others, needed a six-pack of beer to survive an elder’s meeting – they were such godly events> BTW, the first time Gary threatened to kill me was when he and Marilyn when at our local church for the purpose of commissioning the new pastor. I joked about the pastor bringing a case of beer for this go

And before it gets out there, I want everyone to know that I did NOT father six children from six different women during my brief stint as a pastor of a local church. That is a LIE!!!! (attempt at humor)

I didn't hear it directly from Marilyn, so I suppose for the purpose of this forum, it should continue to be regarded as rumor. That said, the leadership of the Walk/TLWF hasn't proven itself to be upfront about its human foibles. Just bringing it up here would likely bring accusations from apologists of me possessing a Pharisaical nature :)
