Light777 - Thank you for your post calling out the troll. I appreciate what you have to say and the intelligent way you say it. I also appreciate your recognition of their nasty slap at me. Although Nickle&Dime quoted personal information about me, it was 90% false. Didn't we all hear from the pulpit at various times to beware of rat poison because it is mostly real corn/wheat w

NancyB - I have studied Hitler and Nazis too and mainly because I wanted to know how the heck so many people could be drawn in to such evil. As you said, the methods are the same in cult churches (and politics). I saw a documentary on Hitler and the psychological studying he did so that when he spoke he could incite the crowds - from the way he used his hands while speaking etc. KEY: Hi

I find that one of the scariest things about the cult experience is how much it replaces decision making and sound reasoning even regarding child rearing, having children, getting married, health, etc. The list is really endless. Even if the specific goal of those in control is not to take over those areas, having people place the leaders in proxy positions is part and parcel of what happens wh

Good information and wisdom regarding home schooling being used to isolate the young and leave them without a support system outside the group/cult. I was just at the doctor and the tv was on in the waiting room showing Dr. Oz whose show was about two recent cases re: child abuse and child murder - comparing similarities in the cases. A psychiatrist said that these homes where they have dozen

Bob McClane was my cousin. My favorite cousin. He and his mom were actually the ones that brought my mom and later me into the Walk. Bob died the day after I was sworn in (at church, on the platform with a lot of hoopla) as an attorney. The next day I brought his youngest son John Judah to live with me. John was a good kid with little or no discipline or training and I had never even had a c

None of the legal structures of TLWF etc. are that strong and certainly are far from bulletproof. The attorney relied upon by these organizations has never done anything in the law except draft documents that no one has ever taken the time (or had the balls) to challenge. She has less court experience than anyone who has ever challenged a traffic ticket and certainly has no analytic experience

I don't imagine a death march at TLWF/Iowa when there is such a "lust" for life, sex, money and the finer things in life. The fear is probably more of a tool to obtain willing participants and take everything they own of value including their will and their bodies.

The fishing lures are set with hidden hooks. The "true meaning" of the miserable experience is laid out while there is no time to ask reasonable questions or consider another way. The (purportedly) only door of salvation is creaking open. No time to think. The ability for detailed reasoning is suspended. The fervor of the crowd is amped up and ready to explode. The big show will prov

The newspaper article on the Shiloh fireworks says the shows cost over $75k. I wonder how much came in from the outside public as "donations" or entry ticket prices if any. Maybe someone finally figured out this was not a proper use of a nonprofit's funds and volunteers. Or, I wonder if the hinky way the public could "donate" was found to be unlawful. Or, I wonder if

I should clarify. My information on the vault may be outdated. I have not seen it with my own eyes for aprox 15 years and it may have been converted to another function and it may no longer be a secret location. I can only tell you what it was built for and what it was used for originally.

Don't forget, there is an extremely well protected storage vault (HUGE) underground at Shiloh where all confidential writings, books, etc., are stored. I've worked endless hours in that vault. There were or are also large safes in several locations. My ex-husband and I both worked with the contents and inventories of every safe. Gems, gold, mnpt rumors.

The "duping" had layers. First was Stevens duping the girl. Then it was Stevens and the girl duping the guy who married her. Twenty years later when the duping was exposed to the duped husband and thereafter he and the Hargraves keeping the secret and thus duping the entire church and public. And the Hargraves thereby duping the guy again because in my opinion the only purpose was p

In an atmosphere of strict obedience, people are not just kept silent, they will never consider doing anything or maybe they don't believe anything can be done. That is why the level of mind control is so abusive and complete. People are congviince they have no value and can do nothing outside of their group. Some of the financial claims against Stevens were not true but yes he had everything done for him by "volunteers." "Kingdom businesses" like Living Word all had either volunteers (which is illegal to the businesses) or who were so underpaid as to be shocking and all the money went as directed by Stevens. Sexual improprieties and multiple affairs were mostly true about St

The tv series with Leah Rimini and others re Scientology presents a picture of "cult life" that could not be more like LWFellowship/The Walk. I have been studying the books by Steven Hassan who works with former cult members and it seems the best approach to understanding is more re the methods used by the cults in capturing and keeping members than in church doctrine. QuotewarrenzQuotesuenam Actually that sounds like a good idea, however - what would then become of the (claimed) 700,000 DWB members? I think this idea may work if it is a 'bluff' to shake DWB out of their complacency, however I can't see how Shamar's hand is strong enough if Nydahl chooses to call it. Where did you get the claimed 700,000 figure from? I have never seen

QuotesuenamQuoteSceptic WatcherHowever, trying to assign pure motives to Sharmapa's actions is a slippery slope. Why should one do so for Sharmapa, but not for Ole? If Sharmapa supports Ole for pure reasons, maybe Ole parties and is racist and sexist for pure reasons, too? This was sort of my point, but viewed from a different angle - putting speculations about motives aside, Nydahl is sex
