There isn’t much you can say to people to make them snap out of it when they believe that the overseer or overseers of their church is deity or have a special relationship with deity that entitles them to be obeyed without question. You could tell them to just drive down the street and test the waters at another church. See if those pastors demand their money to fund their lavish lifestyles.

FCSLC, When I heard you say that the rest scattered, I thought to myself, well good for them, I was happy for them, because they were free. I actually had the first impression from what you said, of concentration camp guards leaving their posts and the prisoners "scattering."

I heard a long time ago that the Walk leadership suggested that the people of the various churches close down and move out west, and other than a couple of the churches did just that. I was wondering what everybody knows about that. I am wondering if any of the churches decided among themselves to stay open and just not affiliate themselves with Living Word any more.

There was some speculation as to whether there were any other leaders that claimed to be Christ or to be Christ in the Earth, or whatever. There are some. I imagine it's not allowed on the forum to discuss them in length. I'll only mention that Rev. Moon is referred to as the Messiah, and the father etc, there are a few today that are claiming to be Jesus Christ Himself, returned, Oprah

When I first started posting here, not this time, but the first time, back in about 2012, I was looking for an answer. I was wanting to know if the Walk changed when John Stevens got involved with Marilyn, and if he simply got deceived, if perhaps Gary and Marilyn simply didn't get message the "apostle" brought or what. I believe I know the answer now. John Robert Stevens trained

Lily Rose, I wasn't quoting you, that's my opinion that perhaps the leadership and the message of the Walk has been an abomination all the time, not just since the regime change. I base that opinion on much more than what you have said.

Frangipane confronted JRS about M being a Jezebel that Frangipane was removed from the church by JRS? ------------------------------- I had heard that before. I wrote Frangepane an email and asked him about that, but he never answered it. He doesn't actually know me, I had talked to him in email about something else before but it had been

I am starting to see the picture change a little. Perhaps John Robert Stevens got involved with Marilyn because the two complimented one another. Perhaps it is as you say Lily Rose, the Walk may have always been rogue. When John AND Martha bought Grace Chapel with THEIR own money, perhaps Martha thought they were building a church, and John was building the stage for him to be the star, in th

Well I might have just missed the whole deeper mystical message of the whole thing, but I don't remember a this week or tape, of all that I listened to that was not about submission. It seems they were either roaming around the desert heading for the promised land, or they were in Romans 8 or Ephesians 4. That's about all. Of course I was only there for 7 years.

Psalm 110:1 The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.” This scripture was always understood by those in the Walk, including myself, to say “sit down at My right hand until YOUR ENEMIES ARE MADE a footstool of your feet.” It seems I also remember it being quoted “sit down at My right hand until ‘the kingdoms of this world are made

Lily Rose: G&M didn't write the First Principles, but they continued to perpetuate the false concepts and in doing so they added their own things "beyond what is written." However, the concept that the increasing Presence of Christ and His Glory in the Church constituted the 2nd Coming of Jesus was JRS's teaching. It shouldn't surprise anyone that M is being worshipp

You know, we got into intercession all the time when we were in the Walk. Maybe some of that was good, most of it was trying to build up the leadership into a closer relationship with God, but be that as it may, good or bad, there is a movie out that is about a woman that is an intercessor, the movie is called “War Room.” I went and saw that twice, I highly recommend that. I hope that i

I am going to concern myself mostly with WALK 1, because that is the one I was in the most. I was in there during the last of the regime of JRS while married to his first wife, and I understand from hearing from Lily Rose that the Walk changed in 1980, when the wife changed, the ministry changed. Maybe that is a coincidence, but I doubt it. I was in it for the other half of my hitch with Maril

To this day, I really wish I had a better way of putting it, when I talk about John Stevens, I don’t look at him to this day as somebody that was intentionally wrong. He said that the Lord told him to stay away, or not associate himself with the Latter Rain. Well, if you look at any of the articles about the latter Rain they refer to two different segments of it, one is all of the others, an

Lily Rose, Yea, I don't know what all is going on either. In fact, when I answered your post where you asked if I had posted here under the other name, I had to type it twice. The first time I answered, I looked up and there was the red lettered hack alert. Now usually, when that happens, in an hour or so, I can post again. yes Lily Rose. I was bumped off so I couldn't log in when all of the posts were lost. I talked with the moderator about it several times be he could figure out how for me to get back on either. Lily Rose, yes I did. I got bumped off when all of the posts were lost, and couldn't get logged back in. I talked with Mr. Ross about it a few times, he didn't have an answer for it, he said that most of the people that posted here before could get back on, he said that perhaps if I get something changed about the computer, i don't know what. Anyway, what I did finally was get a g

You know, I am looking at Living Word Fellowship more as a "walkologist" meaning, someone that studies the Living Word Fellowship. I think, the more I am studying this, that the Walk has been in three stages so far. First there is the Walk, with John and Martha Stevens, John alone ministering. Then there was Walk the sequel, with John and Marilyn Stevens, John AND Marilyn at the helm.

Does anyone know anything about this book by Gary Hargrave, "Is Christ Divided?" I wonder if they are getting into ecumenism. One thing I do know, JRS would roll over in his grave at some of the things the HARGRAVES have been up to.

One other thing, Lily Rose, I knew even when I was pretty much spiritually dead that we didn't have to see John Robert Stevens come back from the dead so that we could inherit eternal life. Again, JRS was about 2000 years late on that one too.

Well Lily Rose, it is all over now. I hope they all will turn their lives over the the Lord and quit playing games. We don't have that much time to get prepared. I won't go into what I believe about eschatology, my wife believes we are soon to be at total peace, I think we are going to go through Hell first, and it has nothing to do with LWF theology. (I promise Moderator that is all I

There were lots of people that thought my first wife was a Neph, they thought that she had a "religious spirit" but the truth be known, that is the way I represented her to everyone. I was an adulterer, plain and simple. I didn't really get anything going that much while in the fellowship, but the next church I hit after the Walk, I did. Lily Rose, I did not know Marilyn. I th

Lily Rose, I am trying to piece it all together myself. But I am starting to think that Marilyn was on the scene long before everybody knows that she was. I think Marilyn and John Robert Stevens were in an adulterous relationship and that is what caused Martha to divorce him. I think Marilyn was John's "spiritual wife," and they took what they figured a respectable amount of time

I think Martha divorcing John in 1979, John's marriage to Marilyn in 1980, Marilyn's presence and comments when John was bringing the word, the control factor starting in the fellowship around 1980, like you described, the only thing I can think of is, a what if, that is what comes to mind,,,,,What if the biblical, historical Jezebel, had of divorced her husband, I think his name was

Paleface I agree with you, I think if Marilyn has done what I have read she has done, come against God’s order for families by making the wife not only the head of the families, but a copy of herself, she has done what she did to JRS, the Living Word Fellowship, to Hargrave, she has proven to be Jezebel in the flesh. I think more than any factor, Marilyn did more harm than JRS, Hargrave, any o

Lily Rose, what years were you in the Walk? Were you in the Southern California churches? Did you know JRS? If so, what were your impressions? I didn't go out there until 1983 or so, whenever that meeting was that Marilyn called after Stevens died. I would like to know more about JRS. What he was like. My son met him, in fact they shot firecrackers together at Shiloh when he was a little k

You know, when you think about it, it's hard to condense it all, the Walk, like any denomination, movement, whatever one wants to define it as, it's hard to take it all in as to what exactly it was about. Probably each local church had it's own personality, it's own flavor, and then it gets to the various states, and the various sections of the country, northeast, southeast, s
