"It really didn't take much to mislead a bunch of misfits that thought they knew everything." Apostle Dog--sometimes you just nail it, and this is one of those times. "Who are the LW apostles these days?" paleface--I am also curious. In addition to "these days," can anyone offer up a list of all apostles spawned in the walk from day one? Stevens was one, I

TheSarge, thank you for correcting me. I see now that lurker is a defined term, as you say. All this time I thought it was being used in a negative sense towards current walkers who may be on the forum, and I winced every time. Thank you for responding to my post, glad to clear that up.

In answer to your question, TheJewel--"I am curious what people think with regard to JRS, do you think he deliberately set out to deceive?", I say yes, Stevens deliberately and consciously deceived us from day one. If he ever had one genuine thought that he was a spokesperson for God, if he believed in the scriptures that he purported to, he would have denounced himself a thousand time

FCSLC, good point regarding Miller. He owes you an apology, as well as everyone else to whom he has represented himself as a messenger of God. kBOY says he is devastated and would like to rectify any harm he has done. I suppose if remorse had occurred prior to, and not coincided with the unfair way in which he was treated, it might seem more genuine. But he cannot change the timing, he is whe

Changedagain, just for clarity, do you believe John Miller is a nephilim? I am referring to your remark that for unknown reasons Miller sits at the head of the Nephilim table. Or was your comment perhaps an outlet for latent animosity towards him? Just curious.

I call Godwin's Law on Apostle Dog. For those of you not familiar, google it. Also, Apostle Dog, you bring up a point that I still have sadness about, and that I still see in the walk. To not show compassion, pity, sympathy, remorse towards each other, was a terrible mistake. Walking around judging everybody, and ignoring those in pain caused great suffering. They--we--thought that mo

Good grief, we all got out of one cult. We don't need to hear from anybody in this forum telling us we all need to repent. I mean, for Pete's sake, get a grip.

Apostle Dog--"I do know that God is ready to punish all disobedience whenever our obedience is complete." You know that, huh? Sounds like something you learned in a cult.

JezTheBelle--I left the walk probably before you were born, and had never heard some of the things from your last post, like the attitude of the third generation. Wow, wow. Also, I thought I was the only person that privately refers to Shiloh as a compound. But I never heard talk of "arms" before. What did you know or hear about "arms?" The thing about music goes way back.

I think Stevens would be more than mildly surprised that a Catholic priest was at Marilyn's burial service, sprinkling holy water into her grave. Pretty sure he didn't see that one coming.

Paul--I appreciate your sincerity and willingness to share. But--how could you possibly be in mourning "that we did not break-through to greater restoration??" You speak as if you still believe everything we were told in the 70s, that Stevens actually prophesied actual words of God to us, that we were God's chosen people, the remnant, that we were to bring forth God's kingdo

Again, my unpopular yet valid viewpoint--Larry Bobo and others here don't speak for all of us ex-walkers. "The heart cry she expresses and the deep hunger we all experienced coming into TLWF can only be satisfied in Him." I disagree with that! It is a big world! I recall a past post that stated those who are no longer religious had been influenced by the Great Deceiver. That

I am going to add my unapologetic opinion and the opinion of many ex-walkers who are too politically correct to state their view out loud here, but I do not mind. I have no mixed feelings about Marilyn's death. Ding dong, the witch is dead, and good riddance. She knowingly propagated a sham on many good and trusting people. The Lamp of Israel, indeed. The walk should be put out of its m

Amos, what an interesting point you brought up. I haven't had the thought myself that God deliberately did nothing to protect his spiritual children from the craziness of the walk, nor has anyone else posted it to my knowledge. You must have given this a lot of thought since 2009. Do you have an explanation or theory? Is it because God didn't care? Because as you say, it doesn'

Unapologetic, to answer your question about what made those divorces and remarriages cultish--not a single thing. Bad people, bad behavior and blatant hypocrisy exist everywhere. With Jhorning's comment I saw an opportunity to bring up (again) something about Stevens I found particularly heinous, and figured no one would notice it had nothing to do with the actual question I was responding

"Let's be clear here. There's nothing in the scriptures that says sheep never fully grow up into adults and develop normal adult skills." Sure there is. Biblical lambs were sacrificed and never made it to adulthood at all. The rest were slaughtered and eaten. Sheep were not beloved pets. Other than wool, their only value was when they were dead. Their lives were not thei

I am familiar with the bible. I am familiar with cults. There is not a single upside to being a sheep, everything goes against them. "I am a sheep" exactly equates to "I follow dumbly." The analogy given to us as children--of the kindly shepherd leading and guarding his lambs--is patently flawed. That gentle watchful shepherd fully intends to slaughter those sheep for his
