Thanks for your insights about the Japanese mentality and your story about Mr. Gelbaum. I'm sure he will be very pleased to see his name up in lights. Vice General Director, really? At least David Kasahara was a disciplined Ikedabot. Every once and a while a New York member will contact me and call me an "ungrateful pig" or some other unwholesome creature. I guess SGI interfaith is

That's another key point for me. The noble philosophy that is supposed to imbue the hearts of the members was never translated into the interpersonal relationships in actions and behavior between the actual members, ESPECIALLY in the YD (but I've seen it the other divisions as well). ZERO humility and very little to zero appreciation for those that freely slave in support of the act

How true Hitch. One day they are your comrades, your best friends, your confidant, your brothers and sisters, the next day, when you are found to have Stage III or IV colon cancer and dying in the VA, they are no where to be found. When you no longer have anything to offer the SGI, when you fail to resolve or cure a serious problem or disease expeditiously, you are thrown out like an orange peel.

You would think that's all that Nichiren talked about. Actually, there are only ~ ten phrases, "fundamental darkness"; one phrase, "possessed by devils"; and "fighting evil", zero phrases . "Break and subdue" is one translation of shakubuku. Another is "forceful practices" and still another, "to refute." Nichiren rarely performed th

I was doing some "teeth of the castle" or Sokahan activity in Trets, the brainwash center in France. It was like two in the morning. Some big muckety muck pulls me aside and escorts me outside to a wooded area. It was absolutely dark. In between a grove of trees, about fifty yards from the building, he leads me to brass plaque on a concrete base on which is etched a dedication to Pres

Great Hitch. I name name and leave no prisoners. Here is a letter I received about a year ago that I just opened and happened upon today: "I somehow knew SGI started out for the post WWII poor and hopeless. In order to raise to the heights they have is amazing. Sensei is a sharp man who has his hand in everyones pocket in SGI. SGI members are led to believe under Sensei that Chanting will

Good question Hitch. I deal with my SGI ordeal by fighting them tooth and nail so no one has to experience what I experienced and so no one need encounter men such as they. In a sense, many of us were complicit and we too brought many people down. Fighting the Soka Gakkai, for me, is also an act of repentence. I also have another agenda, to promote what I believe is a better way because it is fai

QuoteShavoy@The Anticult.....so in a way, too, this fusion, this One with Ikeda, means in essence that followers will lose their individual identities, and become mini-Ikedas? Is this also a end result desired by the Masters? Who or what one devotes oneself to determines one's identity. Since SGI members devote themselves to Ikeda, a greedy liar, they become greedy liars. Another example

Both of us have Doctorate degrees, but while my degree is real, Doctor of Musical Arts, University of Southern California, his degrees were bought with members money and phony. But I don't want to be ungrateful, because in some way SGI helped me to get my Doctorate. How is tha

Quotebobze39Hitch, you are absolutely right, I totally brought it all on myself by screwing around, (I am not the only one, who brought bad stuff on himself by screwing around, I mean, look at Clinton, there is a new PBS documentary about him) in fact, because of this realization, for a while, I didn't even feel angry at SGI, I almost felt, that they were punishing me fairly. But the time pa

And from the very beginning they appropriated the teachings of the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren Daishonin to bolster and give their philosophy of greed ["gain"] an air of respectability. Shakyamuni Buddha and Nichiren Daishonin would be appalled. It gets me sick that they teach that "we are all Buddhas" but act as if some Buddhas are more worthy than others or that only some Budd

Perfect Anticult. They even plagiarize the SECRET. SGI has absolutely nothing to do with Buddhism. A giant MLM scam is what it is. Instead of falsely claiming to sell vitamins, cosmetics, or financial education resources, they falsely claim to sell peace but just like the MLM's, it's really only about recruits who donate money for the benefit of those at the top. SGI is one big ponzi sc
