This is my final post on this or any forum concerning TLWF. I have deactivated my other social media accounts. I am ending the blog site, and ending any activity here. I know some faced abuse at the hands of TLWF, but I also find too many “victims” too willing to attack anyone who doesn’t share their particular perspective. I tolerated a lot in the fellowship, but there is no justification

I don’t know if anyone on this forum previously observed that the term “upward flow” is a synonym for “pyramid scheme.” With Marilyn deceased and with Gary and many others ostensibly out of the picture because they resigned and fled, or are laying low hoping that the law doesn’t catch up with them, who is at the top of the pyramid now? How would one reconcile that doctrine now given the cur

And now for something completely different ... I remember sneaking out of a communal home in the Valley in 1973 in the middle of the night because I was sick of paying everyone elses rent, and at 18 being in charge of a half dozen older hippie types who couldn’t keep a job and grew pot in their rooms. I remember almost getting beat up at a Jesus People meeting in Ventura where I used to go

There is an old cult classic film entitled “Goliath Awaits” that is about a ship sunk by a torpedo, found some 40 years later. On that ship there are some 300 people who somehow managed to survive in an air pocket who have forged a society run by a seeminly benevolent autocrat played by Christopher Lee who rules by an iron hand. When a dive team enters the ship they are astonished by what they fi

Much of the abuse and other morally and ethically questionable actions by leaders associated with and who succeeded John Stevens were not something I personally experienced. When my wife and I left around 1998 over issues in South Gate it wasn't so much over abuse as it was what I considered a lack of adherence to the principles of church governance taught from the pulpit and in the literatu

I wonder if the toxic people we knew will ever take responsibility for their actions? Of all the letters I wrote to the Hargraves and their minions I never received a single reply. Only one in South Gate who gave me such difficulty ever walked back what was done and in tears apologized, but he took flak for it.
