I think this topic is now over a year old but i thought I would check to see if Pema might be able to give some sources for this number. "Eg: It is estimated that 98% of all diasporaTibetan lamas whether monks or not have had/have sex with their students" Thanks Also are we talking about abusive sexual relations or is that not declared?

Thank you both for helping me to fill in the details about this group. When I first noticed their posters I was highly disturbed to notice another poster from the Gnostic Movement , were all over the posts down town I started ripping them down and realized there were just too many for it to worth my while. But I also noticed an even more misleading looking poster for this group. At first they app

Anyone know anything about the New Acropolis Cultural Association? Recently I have been noticing posters all over the city advertising for talks on Egyptian Spirituality, that seemed extremely new age. This group claims to teach philosophy but is clearly involved in more than that. This is essentially the poster I have seen. This seems to be their Canadian based website. The whole thing

From what I was told absolute publishing is a completely seperate organization, started by one of the members from California who is involved in the publishing industry. This happened because the Movement was not able to control access to the information. From when the information was given out in pdf, many people set up sites which offered it for free. Since this time a lot of effort has been sp

In the beginning this group wasn't too bad (comparatively). " Don't you think that the Samael Aun Weor teachings themselves are manipulative? Also wasn't the Belzebub thing revealed to students at a higher level initially as if they had achieved something? Mark has clearly changed his might on this matter, as he is supposed to be called master or Belzebuub or master Belz

Thanks Cogito, I agree with your very much however I feel that if someone is exploiting others such are Mark and Edith Pritchard appear to be doing than they should be called out on it and evidence should be presented to show this exploitation of others. I am not aware of anyone else in this organization who would fit the characteristics of being more a victimizer than a victim to such a degre

Who said that "Nobody can help me but a doctor."? I don't think that sarcasm is appropriate. Have you been able to solve the problem without a professional doctor or alternative medicine? Littlefish you have avoided my question about teachings.

I am wondering what teachings you have been following that makes you think this is karma. A lump is an indicator of a serious physical problem. You need to go to a doctor.

Oneiros, Thanks for that clarification. That makes sense actually. I only stated that Crowley translated the Tao Te Ching because that was what I thought I read in the introduction to one of my versions of it and it is also stated as something he did in various places like Wikipedia. I don't think Crowley had the language skills to translate the Tao te Ching. This is probably an essay and

Hi msanchez, Nice to see you again. I don't really know how to answer that question. My best response to these matters is to do all you can to avoid being able to get suit or rather be in the best position you can. The more people who speak out the safer it will be. I think posting in various places also helps. they can't sue everyone. Rick Ross should probably be in a better positi

This site should be good for a starting place for understanding the different groups. "This source which I found last February should also be helpful. I have just found an excellent academic source on the Samael Aun Woer teachings. I have to figure the right program from Yahoo/google to translate it. It was originally written in Italian I will post it here but if you don't get t

I made a grammatical error in my last post. I meant to say the recent episode. Also I meant that it would be good to match up each leader with their organization, if possible. This list, which was on Wikipedia and should be in a few others places should be a good starting place for working on organizing this subject. The person on the List, Mark Pritchard has already been dealt with extensively.

After the current episode of confusion I think it would lead to a better understanding to have a better organized description of each active Samael Aun Weor group. We should do this by matching up each supposed master or at least leader with the movement that they are or were connected with and a bit of a history. Also it would be to start a discussion page for each group. This should avoid confu

To add to what you were saying about Plagiarizing, non of said others were dead for over a hundred years and for some of the examples of dishonest I believe they were even done in the same year. Most of this issue with TypicalSeeker is his failure to engage with the argument which had already been presented. This is a major failure, although it may not be as easy to read these discussions when co

For my point about the Chains that are done in the higher level of the Gnostic Movement I wanted to provide a source. The story was typed out by someone in this discussion called free_free and you can read that on this page, "Twice a week (excluding weekends) after the work we with my partner rushed to the center to clean it and to do the chains with others teachers and trainees for

Just to clearify for anyone, I am not able to correct all of TypicalSeekers erroneous statements at this time, or at least not the 3rd, 4th or 5th time that said contributor has brought them up and some odd and out of place statements I may have not been able to get to in the first place. Perhaps I will get to them at some point as they may be good inspiration to point out the problems of this or

"So far not one shred of evidence has been presented that would indicate that this group is abusive or destructive in any significant fashion. As the saying goes... time to put up or shutup. Personally I would like to say that I am getting pretty tired of TypicalSeeker. This contributor like to belittle others experiences and concerns. Further they manipulate the information that is made available to them from different places. There is no attempt here to consider the actually implications of what is being said. Yes Mark Pritchard is not running one of the Samael Aun Weor movement

5. There is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always wrong in leaving, negative or even evil. Actually, this Gnostic Movement is the exact opposite of that...they know that most who take up this study will eventually drop out. For them this is a 'normal' expectation. " Again I have talked about this before. Yes they have a culture of expecting people to leave

"4. Unreasonable fear about the outside world, such as impending catastrophe, evil conspiracies and persecutions. All I have heard was one week he complained about being labeled a cult but then a week or so later he noted, "but if you check the dictionary, we are one... as are most religions".... And that is true. I have heard nothing from Pritchard on impending disasters but we
