QuotedazedandconfusedThese are my experiences only. My experience of being in a relationship with someone extremely immersed in TIT is hell. The fact that they learned accountability and how to coach go against eachother. Since being in the training I have never had a discussion with another member of TIT that has been accountable. If something were to happen that 'didn't work

I wonder what qualifications that "Life Coach" might just happen to have. (evil grin) John I am sorry to hear that vlinden. They have recruitment Guest Presentations (GP) on Tuesday nights, TIT meetings once a month on a Monday. Lift-Off trainees HAVE to attend and are continually prodded to recruit. TIT members recruit as a matter of lifestyle. It is part of how they are supposed to be. I am not sure how to answer your last question, but I'll take a stab. The Quest and Summit trainers only train trainings and TI

Quotespiritual?QuoteutahI'm confused what you mean by "Morality is relative". Can you explain. Impact teaches that there is no right and wrong. Meaning that if you don't think it's wrong to have an affair with someone else in TIT because you believe they're your soul mate then you should follow that instinct and "trust yourself". Of course, when infidelit

Their attitude is that as long as love is the central aspect of your life, everyone is right, so go on a mission if your goal is to spread love and light. They don't want to ostracize their LDS clients. Some of the office staff are active LDS I believe, though it may only be David and Kamber Berger now.

I need to make an amendment about the "confessions process" in my answer to Utah. The co-captain stays in the room as well. They do not always record the results of the questions, though I have been in a Harmony/Impact Summit where they did. I have not been in many Summits, and only once as a captain and once as a co-cap, and the second time they did not record them, so I may have been

I'd like to add to my answer to your third question, Utah. The process I cited was only one example of many such processes Impact and most other Lifespring rip-off LGAT trainings use. You can find descriptions of the processes found in many of these programs (they are nearly identical) and come to your own conclusions as to why some people react so strongly to such nonsense.

4b. Recruiting is not how they see it. If you do not join up, you will be spun off the planet when it ascends into the 5th dimension and into it's Christed state. But love and light to you and good luck with that... So to answer your question, the recruiting will never stop. You may not hear about it for a while, but I guarantee they will be bitching about you and your "stuckness&quo

I will answer your questions to the best of my abilities, honestly and without exaggeration: 1. No, not officially. 2. You do not "have" to but you are encouraged to. In the trainings honesty and self disclosure are encouraged in order for the training to "work". Being unwilling to do so can put the trainee on the spot and make them subject to humiliation, ridicule and

I think talking about religion is OK as long as we are descriptively discussing Impacts religious and cult practices and how they may effect the religious beliefs of trainees, both past and present. But making prescriptive claims about what someone ought or ought not do based on your own religious practices and beliefs or "preaching/proselytizing" is against the the board rules. Am I ri

A red flag I personally despise is the title "Life Coach". Are there legitimate, academic credentials one can get in order to become accredited with this title? Is it a real thing? The only people I have ever met that have called themselves Life Coaches were opportunistic (and at the core, insecure) and offered their services as an "alternative" to psychological council. Witho

Though I am sure of the possibility of such predators lurking in the Impact wings, I am SURE that this specific facet of Impact's teachings promotes sexual indiscretion and infidelity. They teach being your word, but only so far as you are in alignment with your purpose. What if you aren't "meant" to be with your wife? What if your Bishop has no real spiritual authority over y

Quotearmy-of-meI, in no way credit impact for the good things that have come out of my experience, just as I would never credit an abuser with any strengths gained from overcoming the experience of abuse. In reality, I learned and grew in spite of impact. I think from the moment of birth I was an agnostic-leaning Mormon :). Impact's madness kicked me so far through the agnostic uprights, I

The church's passive damn is worth nothing. Besides, believing in a heresy compromises any claim to belief in doctrine or fealty to covenants. THAT fact makes your quoted article of faith a moot point and should provoke the brethren to take action. Lies of omission abound in the LDS-TIT/Life mastery trainee(er)'s testimony. Impact pumps out hypocrites like there is no tomorrow, LDS or n

LOL, Hans' Stake President. If they knew his private spiritual practices and rituals, what he says in private about the church and what he has done to it's trainee members, they would excommunicate and black list him and anyone else involved with Impact. In fact, if they would read this they WOULD know. Maybe they have and they just don't give a damn...

I would rather have bad things done to my sensitive bits than even smell one of the Bergers or trainers walking down the hall again. A day to learn about courage. Why is it that all of these LGAT's are so obsessed with making peoples lives turn into epic movies? Courage in a day, sheesh, do

Interesting. Things were headed that way, even from the beginning. Every time the group got bigger, I saw more and more of it. I knew people who left TIT3 for those reasons. So any word on the All-Grad training? I hear its at a hotel and they are stressing that trainees bring non-members to it. Sounds like it's turned into a "free", juiced-up Guest Presentation now. I mean, I k

Believe it or not, some individuals in BYU's philosophy department are much more "liberal" than is commonly known. And though Ostler is not published in the Ensign, I am sure it hardly matters to him. Sunstone Magazine has published him, and they are definitely liberal LDS folk. That is who I think Ostler is catering to. Like it or not, LDS theology can be interpreted in a highly s

QuoteexImpactOne thing that has bothered me as of late are the philosophical writings of Blake Ostler (An Impact graduate). He has created this apparently unique body of work concerning LDS thought, and has based it all on Hans Berger's Theodicy. Talk about building your house upon the sand. He doesn't even credit the Berger's or Impact for this, and almost all of his stuff is ridd

I remember there always being an assumption that the TIT trainers and staff had the "inside scoop" as to what really happened with the "Restoration of the Gospel." I remember people saying they had past lives as early latter-day saints, like Brigham Young, Emma and Hyrum Smith for example. Hans used to say the trainings are a continuation of the School of Prophets if I remembe

My exposure to the TIT trainings was limited, but I must admit I found Hans a bit compelling, to begin with. But the LDS church has always been a home to me, and I have trusted my faith since I got involved with this LGAT stuff. In doi

I have a question for all of you regulars (and all of you silent observers): After leaving for good, did your activity with the trainings, more specifically with the TIT (now the Life Mastery Trainings) mess with your spirituality? I was a good person who was always searching for God before I found the trainings. I was on again/off again LDS for a good stretch there, and when I found TIT, I thoug

Let me clarify my position about Impact and "philosophy". Impact does not do philosophy or engage in philosophical dialog. None whatsoever. They put people in a room, blindside them with abuse and control, manipulate their trainees against one another and emotionally traumatizes them into falsely believing that their lives have miraculously changed during the last four days or so. Then

Well, I wouldn't say it would be completely comprehensive, I am putting together the pieces. Mostly from memory with the help of a couple ex-grads. If anyone would PM me with anything they remember, it would help it be more comprehensive. I never heard about Hans being the 4th Son of God, but it would fit in with everything else he has claimed about himself. You know, for a training that
