I don't think I would be able to sit by an LGAT grad..anywhere, for any amount of time. Sounds like one of my nightmares...

QuotebobnarI have some questions for those who have done any of the Impact trainings. - Did any of you, or your Impact Family notice symptoms of mania, or just hypo-mania, after your training? Did it just feel kinda like that, or did the symptoms get an official diagnosis? Did it get worse with time? - Did it get to the point where you had problems sleeping or dreaming? Was there a hard p

I wouldn't trust Hans with a hamster while I went on vacation for the weekend. Former: That is pretty funny about Nicole Sherman. You probably know she used to work for Zions Bank. I bet she took a few of her sycophantic Impact people from there to Far West. I bet Zions isn't complaining... jk: You are called an "angel" if you get someone to go into quest. In the mastery trainings you learn that, yes, the term is taken literally and you are coached to list

Yeah, I had two friends that dealt with me in precisely the same way you mentioned you dealt with your Mom toomuch, and it worked. Patience, prudence and resolve. It may not work every time, but it works. As for my previous post about my "Atlas Shrugged" experience, it was only one of passages that I found profound. I do not necessarily agree with the entire body of work. Simply d

"Atlas Shrugged" had a particular bit of logic that was the initial "Holy crap what the hell am I doing?" moment that was the impetus for my exodus out of Impact. It has been awhile, I don't remember the character names, but it went a bit like this: A very successful businessman with a dysfunctional home life is speaking with his closest friend. This businessman is passiv

Enrollment is a perpetual, soul-sucking, demeaning practice. People are told that if they do not enroll, their loved ones do not trust them. So, logically, there must be a dysfunction in the relationship or they would be in the training. This has the effect of these trainees turning on their healthy, loving relationships, making them question and confront the very people who love and worry about

too much, Trust...sucks. Let me just say that, it is irrational to believe you cannot trust anyone, BUT, make damn sure you can trust who you decide to. I will not hype this or over-optimize it, therapy can help, and you can get back what has been taken to a great degree. But is takes discipline, real, long term like discipline, not the quick-fix bullshit you have been fencing with Impact. Tre

Also, your friend might get a bit intimidated by the summit trainer, Pamela Bushman. It is true that she is confident, brutally blunt and FOCUSED, but that's it. Underneath it all she is an uneducated twit.

Nettie, I empathize with your loss. I too had a friend who committed suicide as a direct result of the influence of the Impact LGAT in Utah. It was...infuriating, I was blind with rage and sorrow for awhile. It happened not long after I extricated myself. It was tragic, and it fueled my resolve to wage war against the anti-intellectual plague of LGAT/new age thought and business. The Landmark-

I saw this film on another thread, it is awesome (and relevant). Anyone who still thinks Impact is different from any other cult will change their mind after watching it. Well, that is only if they still have one... Enjoy! Ok, it is a bit funny, but after awhile, it became difficult to watch. Just warning ya.

QuoteImTierdEx, What was the testimony that you shared with the group? LOL, it went like "Trees never pretend to be something they are not, so why do I?" or some such total dog-vomit nonsense. Of course, we all sounded the same. I remember zoning out at countless hours of TIT III staring at those damn lava lamps we kept at the front of the room to symbolize the white, violet a

Speaking of weirdness, recently I have been reminded of some of my own. I remember the nature walk process of TIT 1 (or was it 2?) where we went back to pre-school and cut out pictures from magazines and went to a park and "communed with nature" (how much did I pay to do this?). We had to eat a fruit while we communicated with it (I remember that I imagined mine screamed while I chewed

But Impact is full of dumb a*ses, too, so really I just made a moot point.../quote] I quite agree. It's like trying to explain why monkeys throw their poop. In the end,

I was thinking about starting to leave reviews on local.yahoo.com for Impact, but for some reason, when I would link to the page, or click on my profile, my review would show my Yahoo ID instead of my nickname as the author, whether I was signed in or not. Yahoo needs to fix the glitch, but I think it's another good place to start slamming the jerkoffs.

FYI, I left a review for the Impact Trainings on local.yahoo.com, and for some reason, when I would link to it or click on my profile (whether I was signed in or not) it was still showing my Yahoo ID as the author, even after I saved a nickname. I disabled my cookie blocker and still had the same result. It is something the Yahoo admins need to look into, but I thought I should say something.

Lol, Jayson Orvis (aka boontahoe) from the Great Life "Foundation" is back! I love that he thinks his opinion carries weight here when everything he has to say can be reduced down to, "I have a product, and it's a good product, so buy my product!" You know, all ranting aside, there is still one thing that persists and tears at me. The breakdown process in Quest is so arbitrary and violent. The feedback arcs are hideous things. Strangers shouting and tearing you down on the most brief and impersonal exposure to you. Granted, I am sure that not all of the people I gave feedback to were the greatest of people, but I think of all the good peop
