I would add that the LGATs never really suggest that the problem could be your behavior. Maybe in real reality you are making some bad choices that, as a natural consequence, "mess your life up" and "make it not work." Of course, the response to this would be to look at your behavior, learn from it, and make better choices next time. But why bother with that when, instead,
