Well, I'll tell you what we can cite, FOREST. Prabhupada said that one becomes guru by virtue of their qualification, and also on the order of their own guru: "Regular guru, that's all." BUT, when somebody asked Prabhupada who ordered HIM to be a guru, Prabhupada basically replies, "Don't you worry about that." So it begs the question: who specificall

It's sort of like if some Christian evangelist went on a very successful missionary trip to India, and then when he died some of the people he baptized started to preach that this same missionary was, in fact, the Second Coming of Christ. But this is something that our evangelist never preached about himself; in fact, this same evangelist had always preached his non-divinity and he would nev

It's FEAR. Members of abusive groups live under constant fear and are scared to death. Fear is what holds them in the group, whatever "the group" is. "Leaders" instill intense fear in their followers. Leaders of abusive groups indoctrinate and manipulate people to feel fear and helplessness, which in turn engenders dependency upon the leader to make value judgements an

Corboy: I have not been able to conform this, but I have it on very good authority that Tapahpunja (Terry Sheldon) is residing at New Vrindavana again (after having left New Talavana), and is today the bhakta leader there. If this is true, then it's a terrible development; it's terrible that he would be given that access to young people, to bhaktas. Tapahpunja and another devotee with

Corboy: there's this idea that I've been toying with lately in my mind, a hypothesis which I want to bring to this message board in order to discuss it with others, in order to develop it more fully. Here it is: My hypothesis it that certain types of serial murderers, and certain types of "cult leaders" have exactly the same psychology and are exhibiting the same pathology

At 33:10 in the above video, Ritadhvaja Swami makes a threat. "If you want to argue about this, then you can talk to my bodyguards" is what he says, in so many words. Can you imagine a Christian clergyman talking this way? Is this a religious leader, or a Mob boss?

"While starvation appears to be the main cause of death, some of the victims -- including children -- were strangled, beaten, or suffocated, according to the chief government pathologist Johansen Oduor. Court documents filed earlier this month said that some of the corpses had their organs removed, with police alleging that the suspects were engaged in forced harvesting of body parts.&quo

Dave McKay must be feeding his people Mandrax now. Good Lord. I believe the fellow in the video is named Simon Smith. He has the typically gaunt, vacant manner that most of McKay's people present with. He's been with McKay for about twenty years, Simon has. Simon Smith is the same person that's in this video, at 3:49.

As far as I know, there is no connection at all between Branhamism and the McKay group. The group which is sometimes known as the "Jesus Christians" are derived from the Children of God/Family, and not the work of William Branham. I have never even heard of this Mackenzie's church, for that matter. Dave McKay seems to be inserting himself into the MacKenzie matter in ord

This resolution is not permanent and may change, especially if the GBC body is presented with new evidence and their decision is altered, otherwise t

"What’s happening in the Ukraine—coming to a neighborhood near you—is the fruit of ISKCON Inc’s centralized institutional control, precisely what Srila Prabhupada warned against when he said, 'Do not centralize anything…or, everything will be spoiled.' No farms, no shelter, no food…no independence. This is a wake up call, highlighting what happens when the other varnas—especially
