Hi Happytown, A study of the power relations within this cult would fascinating in itself! Maybe one day the Moo cult will even be the subject of a documentary film? What is on the public record is that Moo was originally a trustee of his own charity, but then he resigned from the board of trustees. Did he resign or was he gently pushed out? Then Moo shows up in official documents as an

Hi Wombat, I think you might have missed the point a little bit. Constantin is posting directly from Monte Sahaja and he is telling us that Moo is a duplicitous person, who acts one way in front of the cameras and another way when the cameras stop rolling. He can be cold and callous and talk behind people's backs. He says that Moo is a good talker but fails to deliver on his promises.

Hi Horowitz, According to the documents filed by the Moo Foundation, their biggest source of income for 2017 was "media and product income" at 794,249 pounds. That would be the funds raised by their trading subsidiary, Mooji Media. From what I can gather, these funds are then donated straight to the Moo Foundation, so I doubt they would pay any tax on this money, even though it i

Hi Constantin, It seems that I incorrectly told you that the ashram at Monte Sahaja is a business... it is actually a registered charity, with close tires to the UK registered Mooji Foundation, which is also also a charity. So, we have an interesting three-in-one so-called 'charitable' organisation: 1. The Mooji Foundation- registered under it's current name since 2011. Re

Thank you for sharing, Startingover. That is really bad about the two women being so cold to you and not showing any emotion why you were telling them your personal issues. How can they claim to be spiritual? How can they claim that Advaita is all about divine love? Or whatever is is supposed to be about.... It's very vague. But in a truly spiritual community, people would never behave

Hi Not Moses, I read your post on Reddit. I think you are saying that you don't believe that cult membership is an addiction process? I'm very interested to learn why not and what the major differences are? It's strange, because watching cult recruitment material online did become a kind of addiction for me. Of course, at the time, I had no idea what I was watching was cult m

Constantin, Can you explain a bit about the 'back lash' people who speak out at the ashram receive? I think this is very important. The fact that people's opinions are being silenced and genuine concerns are not being addressed is what makes a cult so damaging to it's members.

Startingover, Thanks for sharing your story with us. That has really bothered me too, that people worship Moo and that some think he is the second coming of Jesus or whatever. I seriously do not think Moo is the second coming! Believe me, he would not charge money for Satsung if he really were Jesus. He would be out preaching to the masses, not holed up in a compound with a lot of delusion

Hi Constantin, I hope you can get a plan together to leave the ashram. Perhaps if a lot of people are leaving at once, at the 'shut down', then you could go too? Another thing you could do is pretend that you are only leaving for just a few weeks and then never return! That way people will not try and convince you to stay. Can you explain how shut 'down works'? What

Startingover, I think the letter you found online was probably a fake, but it doesn't matter. If you read the posts by Constantin and Yourinlove, you will see they report directly from Monte Sahaja and have insider knowledge. Also, SadGame, I think it was, had recent experience with this Cult.

Yes, Startingover, I think Constantin confirmed here that the Mayor and Moo are on good terms. That is not surprising, because the Moo compound would bring money and tourism into the region. It would make sense if the Mayor approved of the ashram.

Hi Constantin, You write as though you may still be at Monte Sahaja right now? Do you have plans to leave? I hope you will be Ok, Constantin. Thank you for confirming that Moo has sexual relations with his female followers. Applejuice said that Moo probably did form relationships with his followers, but then seemed to back down from the issue, saying "I'm not sure where he met his

I think "biting the dirt" probably means that they were down on their luck? Can someone clarify this? But actually, most people who follow a cult are either middle class or upper middle class. They usually have above average intelligence, too. They are people who are in 'transition' periods in their life and are looking for answers. Cults can be appealing, because they a

I yam what I yam, I get a good laugh from watching Moo these days, too. He must inwardly cringe at his own words. They are sooo ridiculous. No wonder Moo always looks so tired. It must be exhausting feeding people a pack of lies all day! I would not be surprised if he retires soon. He will call it a "sabbatical" or something. He will just go off and never return.

Hi SadGame, That is very interesting. So many things get deleted from Reddit, it is very hard to keep up with what is happening there. One great thing about this forum is that nothing gets deleted! It makes this forum such a good resource for people to use. The comment you have saved pretty much confirms everything we have been worried about with the Moo Cult. You really have to wonder ab

Yes Horowitz, It is very difficult to reconcile the image of Krishnabai defending Moo in that video posted by Yourinlove with the reports of her getting into a physical fight with another cult member. In the video Khrishnabai seems over-the-top happy, blissed-out, smiling and completely in love with Moo (it could be a purely 'spiritual' form of love, I wouldn't know...)

Yes, Happytown, Without even watching your video of a public shaming, I would like to confirm that public shaming is a very regular occurrence in the Moo Satsung videos that I have watched. Often, it's a subtle thing, where someone asks a genuine question, then Moo makes an off-hand comment and the audience starts giggling. Oh yeah, that Moo is such a funny guy... Straight up, Moo

Horowitz, Thank you... were there indeed two separate fist fights? One between Krishnabai and the Brazilian ex girlfriend of Moo and another physical fight between Krishnabai and Samadhi (the woman with the married lover)?? I think they should install a boxing ring in the cult compound! It might be safer...

My grievance was never that I failed to become instantly enlightened by watching Moo online. My grievance was that Moo runs an exploitative religious cult that extracts money and free labour from its devotees and in return robs many of them of their sanity, by subjecting them to thought-reform techniques, hypnosis and brainwashing. Furthermore, Moo appears to recruit the vulnerable women u

Applejuice, Also thank you for reporting on the physical fight between Khrishnabai and Moo's most recent girlfriend. It doesn't sound like a very spiritual environment there at old Monte Sahaja if people are engaging in fist fights. Afterwards, one of the fight participants leaves the compound.... It doesn't exactly sound like the disagreement was resolved! It also doesn&

And Applejuice, Thank you very much for confirming in writing that Tony Moo uses trance-induction in order to hypnotise people without them even being aware. Since you have such close insider information, then we will take you word for it! In The Invitation online, Moo states "this is not hypnosis" in order to disguise what he is doing and to deliberately deceive people. But you h

Applejuice, Thank you for confirming in writing that Moo has been in intimate sexual relationships with his female devotees. I'm hoping this means we can now talk about his relationships without being accused of slandering Old Moo! The thing is this: Moo bases his reputation as being a great spiritual teacher on being an "enlightened master". If he really were an enlighten

Applejuice, I read your first post and I find it fascinating. It's a little disappointing, however, because you claim to have been around the Mooji scene for 10 years or so and to have close insider information and you have even stayed at Monte Sahaja- yet, the amount of times you say "I have no idea about that" or that you "can't make a comment on that" is ov

Thanks Happytown, That is a great article which explains the cult indoctrination process perfectly. If you go back and read the accounts given here by Constantin and Yourinlove, you can see the similarities in their first-hand accounts of Moo's cult, and the experiences of people who were under Rajneesh's control. Rajneesh (now called Osho) used a type of dynamic meditation to bre

A personal perspective on self-inquiry in response to the recent posts by Horowitz and Happytown. Before I ever came into contact with the Moo Cult, I was well aware of self-inquiry as a method for spiritual development. For me, it was a helpful way of exploring my place in the world. I didn't meditate all that often, but when I did, I would often use some form of self-inquiry. This wa

Hi Constantin, I'm glad you came forward to share your story with everyone here. I think it will be helpful for those who are considering leaving the Moo cult. That's really weird that Moo wants to know who is sleeping with who, within the cult compound. Why would he want to know something like that? It hardly makes any sense.... Unless... Moo wants to know which female memb
