Hi and welcome, Esocynic. Thanks for your informative post. The Lighthouse is the UK headquarters for Universal Medicine, any claims to the contrary are patently false: 'Truth' and 'Integrity' in UM parlance seem to translate to the exact opposite in real world language.

QuoteJohn lazurasQuoteEric DobbsHi Readers, so Serge's meat of choice is LAMB, well isn't that interesting!- Eric Hi Eric, Though they promote that the followers choose what they eat and do i know at the Retreats they only serve the foods that are Fiery....so much for them making their own choices. Hi John, At the workshops lunch usually consisted of lamb curry or satay chick

QuoteHerbertKane178Worth noting a couple of negative reviews creeping in to the reviews of "The Lighthouse" in the UK, where Universal Medicine holds many of its courses and retreats. The Lighthouse responds below one of the reviews that they do more than host the events. QuoteHerbertKane178 I'd love to know more about why some meats are fiery - like lamb, and yet others are pranic - chicken, pork etc. I'm seems like the whole thing is wildly random and based on one persons dietary likes and dislikes with a few generally accepted truths thrown in there, like alcohol being not so good for you etc, to make it seem in some way scientific or comprehensive.

I think this piece is worth reproducing here in full. While the author notes that it is speculative, I think it just may be onto something: "What if" Serge is teaching you to be a Narcissist? I lent the books to a colleague of mine who is a forensic psychiatrist and from that we had some interesting discussions about the pathology of the condition of the leader of this (and po

QuoteMacReady Interesting. Serge advises people to avoid many fruits for being excessively sweet, yet pineapple is near the top of the fiery list. Likewise, he bangs on endlessly about how evil sugar is, yet honey (which is 80% natural sugar, and sweeter than table sugar), is also at the top of the fiery list. It's almost enough to make one conclude that he doesn't have a clue wha

Given Serge's apparent pre-occupation with insidious sexuality (always other people's, of course) I just can't believe any parent would trust him with their children. There's always young teenage girls unaccompanied at the workshops and hanging around at the clinic. From what I understand they occasionally stay at the Benhayon's house, too. I don't want to speculate

Regarding 'scurrilous lies' and 'smear campaigns', it's worth noting that Serge Benhayon has targeted other alternative practitioners in the Byron Bay area by name and warned the UM community not to use their services because they are 'evil'. More disturbingly, Serge apparently assures his followers that any child enrolled in the Waldorf education system suffers

QuoteCOncerned PartnerInteresting Essay on the minds of the members and their current behaviour. Thanks XO. That is a brilliant analysis. After seeing the ACA piece and reading various blog pieces by UM students, it's quite concerning to note how many of Serge's followers claim he 'allows them to be who they truly are', which suggests they had no sense of themselves b

QuoteSandmanAn interesting thread. I'm wondering if Serge Benhayon has expressed any overtly political views and if so what form do they take? He's quite critical of capitalism for being 'loveless and exploitive'. Of course, he hasn't suggested what system should take its place, and he's more than happy to own multiple properties, pocket millions of dollars a year

From the most recent Medical Observer article: Mr Messerschmidt wrote in the newsletter that Mr Benhayon told him “this is you releasing the evil/prana of Dorn Therapy from your body – a little more to go”, and to take photos of the swelling, and that Mr Benhayon said “sorry to hear this is still happening but I can’t help being excited by ”. Thanks again Treefern, for your courage in sharing your difficult experiences here and also for once again reminding potential readers that it's not just a a few 'jealous, abusive, vengeful men' who are concerned about the impact Serge's teachings are having on people. Hopefully as awareness grows more women will feel confident enough to follow your example.

Well said K_I_K. It's worth noting that the comments being made by students have been requested by Serge. "What to do – if you feel to… Rebecca has just created and posted a blog site, which we can as a student body comment on to help correct the lies. Another prediction from Serge: "The future of man lies in the ability to self-realise as the Son of God on Earth. As this occurs between now and 250 years from now, the re-awakening of the Divine Hermaphrodite will slowly re-appear. They will not be freaks as man will be intellectually more advanced and well forewarned of this appearance" Once again, according to Serge, that pesk

Indeed, CP. If UM was just about healing, self nurturing, alternative therapies, meditation, brotherhood, love etc. I wouldn't be here. For the most part, I have no problem with those elements of Serge's teachings and if it stopped there, I might even be one of his defenders. The truth is, however, that it does not even remotely stop there, as has been repeatedly and explicitly demonstr

I agree CP, despite the strategic avoidance of any and all mention of the Serge's many supernatural claims and the general acceptance of them, the slavish comments being made in Serge's defense (at his request) future illustrate that UM is, in fact, a cult. In the interview Serge also suggests that the influence of entities is a reasonable explanation for a PHD student going berzerk. Just speculation, but I think he's refering to James Holmes, the main suspect in the case of the recent massacre at the 'Dark Knight Rises' premiere in the USA. Holmes was studying for a PHD in Neuroscience before suddenly dropping out. If this is actuall

An indication of how disingenuous some UM students are being while defending Serge. This quote is taken from a comment recently posted on the UM Facebook page: "No guru, though I jokingly called him "Swami Serge" which he thought was quite funny. No cult.
