Hey Eigener Herr, You did a great job articulating the issue. Thanks for speaking up for the children of the cult. "Child Abuse: Exposing the Cult of Chris Butler"] I once heard a story of a child in the cult who was very happy going to school, but after the "order" from Butler was given, the parents were in conflict. The child did not want to leave the school. S

Who owns the rights to letters? Apparently it is the writer. Who knew? Thanks to a fairly recent ruling in favor of author J.D. Salinger (Salinger v. Random House, Inc., 811 F.2d 90 (2d Cir. 1987).) The good news, besides Butler outing himself and validating the documents, is that they do not own the ideas, only the expression. So the content of the documents can be written about and reveale

And the timing of the complaint against Flash's blog ~ right after two powerful revelations from cult kids is also very revealing and incriminating. All of this seems to me in my never humble laughing opinion!

Flash ~ On the bright side, the fact that SOI is complaining about copyright violations on these documents just proves that they are authentic and the truth. SOI has just succeeded, by their own admission, in validating and owning their own garbage! These were personal letters sent to followers and not published material. I don't think you can copyright that retrograde - decades la

Hi eigeneerherr, Welcome. New members have their posts moderated. I think that after 10 posts they go through quicker, but even then, sometimes there are delays. I appreciate the link you gave. It seems very useful. Can you tell us more about some of your own experiences in the Butler cult without revealing any information that would cause you or others harm?

One more thing; G0d's best friend and representative on earth, the great mystic and Guru of all gurus didn't even know his own location and had the temerity to publicly humiliate his servant with this letter. Butler, the supposedly dispassionate one who is enlightened and beyond all bodily identification, fear or suffering seems to be reacting, well, hysterically.

Scroll down to the Butler letterQuoteButler to his diciples: “To my disciples December 29, 1987 …one week after Vaishnava dasi’s injury, her symptoms continued and they got worse on a particular night. At around 11 at night she was having bad symptoms in her hea

Yes! Thanks corboy for furthering the Love Bomb explanation. I've been thinking a lot about you Rama and found some of Shyam Dodge's writings that I don't think have been posted here. I believe that you and others will benefit and relate to many of his experiences in the cult. Shyam grew up in the Butler cult. His father Patrick Bishop (Purushatam) was a follower of AC Bha

Just a short post here about the obvious LOVE BOMBING going on over at the Bhakti Yoga Shack and other Butler recruitment centers. In case you don't know, love bombing comes in many forms. You need to recognize it as part of the cult indoctrination process. Even the sweet, idealistic recruiters may not be fully aware of being part of an insidious end game that they can not see. While t

Regarding Flash's and Rama's story~ You only need look at the example of AC Bhaktivedanta who allegedly had open heart surgery without anesthesia to know where this anti drug idea came from. The prohibition against intoxication was probably never meant to include life saving drugs and procedures. For a mother to be so conflicted about giving her son asthma medication and fearf

Thanks Flash and corboy. Leonard Cohen is a flawed man, but honest about it. Butler is a flawed man, but a liar. For you Bhakti Yoga Shack people out there, just know that the whole scene is tied together by a very slim thread of lies, sleight of hand, and misdirections. They hide this from you at first, but it stands on the absurd idea that Butler is a Christ-like, infallible figure.

Poet and songwriter Leonard Cohen spent some time in a Zen monastery to overcome his depression. He did not stay. He has an interesting perspective on the topic. At any rate, he never was asked to give up his art or use his talents to serve his guru. He cautions others from taking up with certain types. Of those to avoid, he describes Butler very well. In Chris Butler's father'

I have been watching the LOVE BOMB scene over at the Bhakti Yoga Shack on Kauai. What could be wrong with stringing flowers, playing music, kirtan, and breaking vegan bread? Well nothing really if it was just only that. It all looks like a mini Rainbow gathering. Peace. Love. But it does not stop there. Every week people are being vetted for deeper and deeper surrender to their subterranea

The latest blog from Flash is really heartbreaking. Here is one section of a long entry. The rest is well worth the time to investigate how generations of elite followers get used and held by Butler's fake regime. This reminds me of the insipid "Up With People" group in the late 1960's. I think I'm entering a diabetic coma from watching the sugary Namaste. The cruel reality is that even though the songs says "I bow my head and respect you", yada yada yada ...and we are all "brothers and sisters", all one family, we should take care of each other... blah blah blah

Found an old article by Shyam Dodge. His parents were Butler followers and he was raised to be a guru. The "former guru" he mentioned in this article was none other than Katyayani (another Butler follower). I think he romanticizes his "ashram" life style a bit much, but it's his story. Those that knew the crowd found them to be typical Southern California fakirs and p

Rama! Your cartoon is hilarious! Funny because it reflects the absurdity of the truth. Great talent. Good you are back to drawing. A lot of very talented exers also abandoned their creative pursuits. It gets damaged somehow. Exers find they have lost years in the cult and then have to deal with issues that prevent them from getting back on track post cult. Depression, lack of support

Thank You Rachel Dolezal for showing us all how easy it is to cheat and lie and continue to be self deluded when caught in the act. Similarly (to use old Prabhupad's favorite purport phrase), self-identifying as an enlightened being does not make it so. Butler has appropriated Indian culture to live out his guru identity disorder. . .

Ha! Apparently Butler used to mock Jimi Hendrix for his face on the Universal Form on the album cover AXIS BOLD AS LOVE. The artist Lori Klop, who drew this has no idea how offensive this PORTRAIT OF TULSI: BOLD AS LOVE is to them. I think it is hysterical. Click on the 4th portrait down to see. (Tulsi Gabbard, from the portrait series, I Have Something to Say, 2013)

Hi Googster! Yes, Butler is only interested in three things: adulation, power, and money. He doesn't care how he gets it. No, he didn't diddle little boys (does he now?), didn't want to kill, chop off heads, or ask everyone to commit suicide. That's wasn't his gig. But deluding people as to his status as a divine super man... well, he has no problem stealing, cheati

SIDE BAR: I know rrmoderator posts this all the time but it bears repeating. While we ask for information and stories exposing the Butler cult, do not give out personal identifying information. In my opinion, we are dealing with a paranoid and crazy cult that has a history of anonymous death threats, alleged cyber attacks, alleged computer theft, non-cult family members shunned, and law suit

Quotecorboy This is an important moment. The world has been given an important lesson about the way a secretive and elitist group (Scientology) has controlled the lives of top movie stars, selected spouses for them, surrounded them with Scientologist handlers, minders, entourage members, provided cheap labor via low ranking Scientology members... And how Scientology interfered within mar

Quoterrmoderator Mike Jones: Can you think of something you disagree with Chris Butler about? Is there anything that in your opinion needs to be improved by Butler or the group? According to many former members of the group, Butler has hurt people and exploited them. Isn't Butler accountable for his bad behavior? Or do you think he somehow is above accountability regarding anything

Mike Jones ~ The post you referenced was a good synopsis of the Butler narrative and background of the cult. That's why I re-posted it. It was retrieved after a data loss on the forum. It was by no means representative of all of the complaints against Butler and his group. Here is something very important to understand. On this forum people do not always agree with each other but we

QuoteMike Jones On the other hand you are also ignoring the possibility that you may be involved in a dangerous group." -Maybe I am just naive, but I don't see how chanting, eating prasadam, and giving lessons from the Bhagavad Gita is 'dangerous'. And if you think Siddhaswarupananda is 'dangerous' for teaching these practices that 'invoke pleasant feelings'
