Oh my gosh - this made my morning to see this! You've put a lot of work into this (along with the others who responded), and I really appreciate it!!

I'm hesitant to pull a JRS and present information that's not mine as though I came up with it. :) What kind of credit do you want if I include these (in whole, part, or edited) in the booklet I'm writing?

Also, thanks to Reepicheep and Changedagain (how do I tag people??) for your help earlier, including the explanation of the Korah spirit. I had made the connection when I read that to the story in the Old Testament, but didn't realize it had been a term in popular use previously in TLWF. (Makes total sense, though, unfortunately.)

It's true - the need for a Walk Talk dictionary, and the fact that there are so many words/phrases that need to be included and were so commonly used and known by members is (1) further evidence that this is a cult, and, (2) a FAR cry from "let your yes be yes and your no be no."

Sad.

Excellent, Kboy.
If there ever is a tv show inspired by LWF, this terminology guide will be helpful.
BTW, if I am involved in the writing, I will insist there be at least one scene where a pastor utters the phrase "your shit on my calendar."
Also, I would like to have one episode entitled: "No one Talk to the Blowout"

p.s. I will not agree to writing an episode where a blowout loses his/her covering and gets hit by a train...or is swallowed up by the ground during an earthquake. I have my limits.

Looking back, so many of the biblical stories cited in the living word could be taken as threats if you weren't obedient. Same with John's alleged personal meetings with God. I recall listening to one message where John claimed that early in his ministry God appeared to him and said he considered killing him for his "withdrawal." John cried during this message, which gave it greater impact on the congregation (I think).

This is only my 2nd post however I have been reading here for about a year. I first attended Grace Chapel in 1961. I had two uncles who were elders at the time. Since that time I have over 40 years of being affected by TLWF. I guess the word 'affected' does little to describe 40 years in TLWF. I have been out now for a little over two years however the last five really. You can do the math and that explains my chosen nick here. I honestly didn't think much about terms that only TLWF uses until I read your work KBOY. 40 years will do that to you! Thank you for the work you did on this.
I also wish to report something I heard from a good source about the current leadership stating this last week.
Some of the 'new leadership' is still publicly stating that everything you read online is poison. I guess it's just me however I think the first time I heard that must have been about 1965 from JRS. Of course nothing was online then but the story line here is unchanged. It has always been, and it so looks like it will always be the position of the 'Leadership' to tell everyone that if 'they' have left us, blown out, gone, no longer here, sleeping in the back row, etc. then everything 'those people' have to say can not be trusted. Honestly when will enough be enough. If one person tells a story, yes, it might not be true. If twenty people say that same thing then, I am sorry but, I think it's long past time to start listening. Sorry to rant however at some point it might be a good idea for someone in a leadership role to say in all honesty we might want to listen to at least a few of 'those people'. Until then, we HEAL together and LOVE the new day"

FELLOW CONTRIBUTORS:

Let it be know I take no credit for the WALK TALK list other than compiling all the contributions.

Whenever CHANGEDAGAIN starts writing the screenplay for the maxi-series, each episode should include every phrase at least once.

* * * * *

FOOLmeTWICE:

Thank you for quoting; "Until then, we HEAL together and LOVE the new day."

If you decide to share "we're hell together, and love the new way"--remember, I came up with that.
