HEADBANGER NEWS: Drowned in the River Denial

"Delay Or Appointed Time?"

October 17, 2016

"The Kingdom . . . began with Christ, it is a reality now (especially since 1979), and it will continue to be a reality (whether we see it or not)."

"We are living in the complete reality of His presence in His Kingdom." (It is, of course, OBVIOUS to all.)

My senses tell me that I am at home, typing this comment. However, I know that, in reality, I am at riding the Matterhorn at Disneyland. I am living in the complete reality of the Matterhorn at Disneyland, and will be throughout time.

"Let's do the time warp again...."

TLWF please go to your window, open it and yell, I'm mad as hell at you Gary Hargrave and I'm not going to take it anymore.

Great. Now that the mission is complete, it’s retirement time. No more tithing, submission or attendance. See ya!

I've longed for this day of complete reality. So much planned...that doesn't involve church!

lily rose – Thanks for the youtube link on mind control (10-12-2016). I watched all three parts and found it very interesting. There are also some good videos on the Cult Education site as well - for those who would prefer to watch a video instead of reading a book. It’s so much easier to observe cult activity in another group than it is to see it in your own group. Some of the books I’ve read have checklists for identifying groups that would be classified as a cult (e.g. "Twisted Scriptures" by Mary Alice Chrnalogar). When you find TLWF meeting every criteria on the list, it should be an eye opener. However, if you are still involved with the group, you are unable to see it - and I would suggest mind control plays a big role in that. Very honest, sincere, and intelligent people are caught in the web of deceit of many groups – it’s not just limited to TLWF. The thing that is the same in all the groups is the damaged lives that are the result of leaders taking the place of God. The obvious point is that none of these leaders will submit to each other in the way they insist their followers submit to them. They certainly don’t believe the other guy is God – because deep down, they know they are not either.

I was a little encouraged to see that Gary is conceding the point in one of his recent sermons that Jesus introduced the kingdom - instead of John. You have to allow a little of the light of Jesus’ teachings to peak through if you are going to use Jesus to make yourself look important. His teaching is the only thing that produces good fruit. Otherwise, your false teaching will become evident when there is no fruit – like John and his prediction of the kingdom dawning in 1979 and world collapse in the 80's. “When Prophesy Fails” by Leon Festinger, Henry Riecken, and Stanley Schachter is a classic study on how followers dig in their heels in the face of obvious discrepancies between reality and the “words from God” of their “prophets”. Y2K predictions are another example of Charismatic “prophets” missing the mark by using fear to control others. They all want the control by speaking “words from God” but none of the responsibility when they are wrong – they are not even willing to apologize for obvious errors because it would involve giving up their special position that they have conned others into believing they have. We have all witnessed "personal ministry" gone amiss where "words from God" have trashed people's lives. In the Old Testament, prophets got one miss and they rocked them to sleep. Apparently God doesn’t take too well to false prophets - and neither should we.

Unfortunately, the only ones that have eyes to see the complete reality of His presence in His Kingdom...are the submissive. That's why, to my knowledge, no one in this forum is experiencing it.
Sorry for being the bearer of bad news, puddington.

Insightful post Larry. Following is a link to the book "When Prophecy Fails" that you mentioned above:

Ha cute. No according to Gary's stolen private emails, he made it up (time to find a therapist). Unfortunately the fellowship will likely make sense of this by feeling more spiritually enriched.

Welcome puddington. I'm hoping you're not a curmudgeon.
