I'd add that Alexander Everett was a school teacher who was employed by the Unity Schools of Christianity from whence some of the hypnotic "processes" came along with other material that he used when he came up with Mind Dynamics. Also, Leadership Dynamics was so "confrontational" (brutal) that they were put out of business. And though Werner Erhard no doubt capitalized and encouraged the association with Esalen, there was little real connection and Michael Murphy made some attempt to distance himself from the "used-car guru."

All of these groups, including the recent "Secret" nonsense seem to be descended from the original "Think System" (from the Music Man) which was from Napoleon Hill's little book, "Think and Grow Rich."
