Deborah King, lawyer with no apparent credentials other than she "cured her own cancer and horrible life with Truth.

She wrote, Truth Heals: What You Hide Can Hurt You (Hay House, 2009). She is also an attorney (she received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of California Davis). She is featured regularly in broadcasts (she’s been on over 100 national and regional television and radio shows), online and print media (including W Magazine, USA Today and Woman’s World). Deborah has appeared on CNN, Fox, ABC, and NBC to discuss cultural flashpoints and serious issues, and she posts regularly to Psychology Today, The Huffington Post, and her blog. A celebrated speaker, Deborah has inspired millions around the world, sharing her breakthrough methods for health and happiness with humor and wisdom.

As a girl, Deborah was sexually abused by her father and later by a Catholic priest. Like many trauma victims, by the time Deborah was an adult she was an alcoholic, addicted to Valium, promiscuous, and had an eating disorder. At 25, she was diagnosed with cancer. Reluctant to undergo invasive surgery, she rooted out the suppressed traumas that were the source of her emotional and physical illnesses and addictions, recovered from her addictions and healed herself of cancer. Leaving the world of corporate law, she entered the field of alternative medicine. After years of intense study with sages, shamans, and healers around the world, Deborah mastered ancient and modern healing systems and developed a powerful technique of her own.

Deborah wrote Truth Heals as a handbook for healing and reclaiming one’s best life. She holds live events across the country to help people connect the dots between what they’ve experienced and how they feel today. She also hosts a radio show series on Hay House Radio where she teaches the fundamentals of healing to those who wish to heal themselves and others.

Deborah founded the Deborah King Center to serve the needs of all those in need of physical and/or emotional healing and for those who help to heal others. She lives with her husband in California, where she enjoys swimming, horses, and going to the movies. She is working on a new book about the sanctity of the individual.

The same bio is on Huffington Post, where she blogs. There is the typical lack of information regarding her own health (how do we know she had cancer), her training with shamans and healers (so what? - they all claim that), her real education (where did she go to law school, pre-law, what training does she have in human anatomy and physiology, and psychology in order to tease out those pesky suppressed emotions)?

I do have to give her credit for posting on her website that people need to seek out medical help from medical professionals. But then her seminars are chock-ful of people writtten about extensively on various threads here.

From Huffington Post:
"A health & wellness expert and attorney, Deborah King is featured regularly in broadcast, online, and print media, making frequent appearances on national TV, including CNN, Fox News, ABC, and NBC. She has been quoted in such diverse media as USA Today, The Baltimore Sun, The Newark Star-Ledger, W Magazine, Fox News, and ABC News.

Deborah was a successful corporate attorney when she was diagnosed with cancer in her twenties and began a quest for healing that would radically change her life. Her amazing recovery led her to leave the corporate arena for the alternative medical field, where she mastered ancient and modern healing systems, ultimately developing a powerful technique of her own. Her bestselling book, Truth Heals: What You Hide Can Hurt You, (Hay House Feb 09), explores the powerful relationship between the suppression of painful emotions and their impact on our health and happiness."
