Because of the staggering hypocrisy of it all.

Well for starters: for a guy who runs a company called "Freedom of Mind", he sure cannot seem to stand it when somebody uses their critical thinking skills with respect to their interactions with him; he cannot stand to be thus critically scrutinized, he practices information control, and he is the kind of person who is so very proud of how humble he is. And that's right off the top of my head.

Not to mention the fact that EVERYBODY who has been involved with ICSA for any appreciable period of time knows how he is, and NOBODY seems to do anything at all about it. Why do they humor him so?

It is sad that people at ICSA (International Cultic Studies Association) have not done something meaningful regarding Steve Hassan's unethical and harmful conduct.

It is disturbing that ICSA has willfully ignored this, but it seems that many people within ICSA have buisness relationships with Steve and overlook his ethical lapses because of this.

Someone who continuously hurts and exploits people, especially a licensed professiona, will eventually be exposed. And when that exposure occurs other professionals and/or organizations that have enabled and/or ignored the situation will have their reputations damaged in the fallout.

Not only that, but they've actually REWARDED him. He was one of the recipients of the Singer Award at the last conference. Margaret Singer would be rolling in her grave, I reckon, if she knew that Hassan was given an award in her name.

Have you ever seen that movie "The Village", Rick? I am not changing the subject; please bear with me, I am getting to a point here.

Please stay focused and make your point.

Yes Hassan was given an award, which was shared with other recipients.

See [www.icsahome.com]

Typically the award is given to a single person, but in 2014 Steve shared the award with other recipients.

It appears that the only other time the award was shared was in recognition for a project that was produced through a collaboration.

There was no such collaboration recognized amongst the 2014 recipients.
