Shrimpboat, I understand what your're going thru - under no circumstances take any Landmark seminars, your mental and emotional health are more important than your job! That said, what you should do in the meantime is contact the local office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (federal or state) in your area. Explain that your boss is attempting to recruit you into Landmark, u

This is the worst thing about Landmark and the other groups and / or cults like them that use LGAT methods. It's all about generating income, screw the participants. Yes, they all have disclaimers...and they are all equally worthless. Most of these groups do not use objective, trained, and certified medical or psychiatric professionals to screen and monitor their applicants. I'm

I just checked the web sites listed. This is definitely a program operated by the Bhagwan Sri Rajneesh cult (Osho). It looks like a expanded iteration of their "Path of Love" intensive or seminar, similar to one operated by the "Miracle of Love" cult. These seminars would be more powerful than the 3 day Landmark program "The Forum". I have experience with all

I may be wrong, but I believe this is an extension of the Bhagwan Sri Rajneesh cult, headquartered in Pune, India.

I suppose it depends on what you consider abusive, but I would say "yes", especially where women are concerned. I am a former member of the Mormon church and I can tell you at best, women are considered the subordinate partners of their husbands. Their role in the church is expected to be that of a homemaker and a mother to as many children as she/they can manage to produce. A w

I was in a couple of different cults, Miracle of Love and Osho (Bhagwan Sri Rajneesh). I left it all 9 1/2 yrs ago on my own. I still have occasional nightmares of the same vein - being forcibly pulled back in, being called a coward for leaving, etc. Over time they happen less often, but I don't know if they'll ever disappear. I assume it's just my insecurity over that period o

I'm suprised that this seems to be a secret, I've heard a number of "talking heads" (credible ones, not just Republicans) on TV news programs cover this subject. Radical fundamentalist Muslimsj, like Osama bin Laden, want / intend to sweep away all other sects (and their respective govts) and replace them with their fundamentalist faith. This is why they speak of Jihad, t

You're talking about two different groups here: Clubs / Gangs like the Mongols, Hells Angels, Satan's Slaves, etc are 1%ers - real hard core, bad to the bone, lifer outlaw bikers. The others you mentioned are either 99%er hobbyists (Leno & Fonda, for instance) or posers just indulging in the latest variation of the "Look at Me!! I'm Macho!!" contest. The outlaw

Dear jon, I am an ex - Mormon, I was devout for 15 years (I converted when I was 18) and took 3 more years to decide to leave. It was easier for me as I was single, although it cost me a lot of people that I previously thought were friends. Definitely leave slowly, and if your wife is open to the relocation, do it! Being in a less Mormon-influenced area will help your kids (along with your l

For what it's worth, where cults or similar organizations (BPI) are concerned, counseling has to go hand in hand with medication. If you're lucky, you may not need the "help" of medications, but get the counseling - someone who has cult exit training or experience.

Dear Josie6, I am new here, just started posting today. I have been involved with a cult, Landmark's (EST) forum, and the Mormon church - totalling about 22yrs. I am currently diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and major depression. The usual meds did not work for me, but we eventually found thru trial and error something that did. The advice given to you by Toni and Concerned Oz is dead

I'm new here, never posted before. I'm white, work in Oakland, Ca., I encounter a lot of different races and cultures where I work. I agree with moderators comment racism is racism, nothing justifies or rationalizes it. I see plenty of people of all colors behaving badly & living down to stereotypes, but I also see great people of same colors who I enjoy and love to see come

I just registered a few moments ago. I am a member of the Support for MOL Victims and Survivors group on Yahoo. I am posting this for someone who wishes to remain anonymous: I just heard.....that there is a group growing in Buenos Aires Argentina. They are having an intensive there from June 8 - 15. There is a 'master' that is traveling there for this reason. Her name is Racole Ta
