That sounds just about right, changedagain and GSchaeff. Such great memories... So, did everyone enjoy their LW Memorial Day picnic? You know the one where you have to work all day in the sun first and hope that one of the leaders says something nice about you at some point? And they do and you feel pretty good for about five minutes. Then you realize that you just worked all day in the sun an

Puddington and Onion, in my experience, the lying and tricking people was a common occurrence in the LW. The biggest concern of the top leaders (G&M and JRS) in such instances was for themselves and their reputation. Many casualties seem to have been considered "collateral damage", as has been mentioned before. By the way, when people with stories to tell and points to make about

My thoughts regarding the quote below: "The hardest day of freedom is better than the best day inside a cult." After the constant psychotic pace of doing REALLY important busywork for years, and the neurotic seeking of approval and "words from God", living apart from the cult has been positively relaxing. It was definitely an adjustment that took some time. After all,

In Larry's post from 2013 that is being discussed, his first paragraph is a quote from jhorning on August 2, 2013. He was responding to jhorning's post. It is important to consider the context for what was written. I thought we were talking about the LW cult and JRS and G&M. We're all on the same side, I think. If you look almost to the end of jhorning's post (below), you

I am aware of at least two cases of sexual abuse by high-ranking ministries where the victim was told to be quiet and it was covered up. The first case was during John's reign and the second during G&M's. I'm so sorry to hear of your experiences, Larry and Nickleandimed.
