Prescott e-News has an interesting article and audio of the indictment hearing. Read the analysis of the 'not guilty' non plea--clearly some lawyerly maneouvering going on in trying to manipulate the news feeds with what they want them to hear and report: prescott enews

'I would add another feature to the list of characteristics that serial bullies find attractive in a potential target: The person who defines his or her own identity as forgiving or compassionate.' Very interesting profile on the persons selected by the serial bully as targets. It rings true for me, and also highlights some of the appeal of the 'Hero's Journey'

'Mr. Harmonic Wealth is broke? And people were paying thousands to get financial expertise from him? I wonder how his true believers are processing this information.' Unfortunately they have been subject to DeathRay's comprehensive snow-job and will undoubtedly have taken onboard his curious logic. I predict (guesswork, no claim to clairvoyance) that they will have no troubl

Death Ray is also facing numerous civil suits from the families of his victims and the survivors that he has harmed. If he is convicted, these suits become a much easier prospect to pursue. James Ray put his very expensive home on the market shortly after the sweatlodge debacle, he was active in trying to liquidate his assets fast, not in helping with the investigations. Presenting himself

Doctor Logic is also making a quite pointed personal attack on the Anticult, albeit through assumptions as to TAC's spiritual affiliations and current feelings, things that are TAC's business alone. Using Dr Logic's own logic, that would indicate to me that Dr Logic is showing his own fear of TAC. The poker tell analogy is spurious; in the flesh it is guesswork, using pixels on

'As I recall, even Stoic was subjected to this kind of bullying in his earlier, outspoken days on the forum. I notice he doesn't stray too far from group dogma anymore. Why is that?' I think your interpretation is slightly off. I didn't experience bullying, (unfortunately I have ineradicable memories of bullying so know it when I experience it again) I experienced some gri

I think law enforcement are looking into it, and probably finding it tricky to put together a watertight case. Manipulation and undue influence is notoriously difficult to prove to legal standards. If you feel like giving the nice policemen some encouragement to keep probing to the bottom of this mess, Yakaru posted some addresses elsewhere that could be useful. Yakaru/saltydroid "Y

'Its amazing how some of those who seem to be into Nondualism willfully blind themselves to the MOUNTAIN of hard facts and evidence that is right in front of their eyes about Byron Katies covert persuasion, manipulation and LGAT seminar tactics. Its as if they are poking their own eyes out with their fingers, and then saying they can't see anything.' I think a lot of this inatt

I had a quick read of Dave's latest blog on Yelp. I noticed the last para when he mentions he is reading a new book 'Drive' is in a slightly larger font than the rest of the piece. I clicked the given link to the Amazon sales page, 30+ 5 star reviews, but what caught my eye was that the Amazon address seems to contain a reference to 'Bold Approach'-----------a questio

'The healing arts do very much depend on the skill and care of the practitioner.' The patient/client has a part to play also, in using critical thinking to evaluate the skill and care on offer from the practitioner. 'The last thing I would want as a corporate employee is for my boss to play God.' There is unfortunately no shortage of corporate bosses suffering from the delusion that they can play god, but in corporate life they generally have a less all-encompassing grip on the employees mind---there are labour laws for protection in developed countries that give a recognised means of address fo

Fascinating vid. Billed as training in how to communicate with another person, it is clearly a training in how to avoid communication of any kind in the interests of controlling, blocking and heading off any genuine attempt at communication.

I've read before about this practice amongst this ring of marketers of 'gaming' Amazon where they get their mates to bump up their ratings and make a best-seller out of a rubbish book. Joe Vitale does it regularly, I believe and some cult leaders have also employed this tactic--Maharaji is one I recall mentioned. This selling of a product, where the product itself is simply a le
