I am amazed to find your story which I can verify to the most part. With the more recent suicide bombers I wanted to see if the reason Curly Dave was making the bomb was ever discovered. I too have carried this secret with me. My husband then was heavily involved (and still is in the Krishna movement) we were living in Grey Lynne and knew Curly Dave well. One day I heard him talking with my th

Hi TaitenandProud (also Hitch) sorry it has taken so long to reply. Sorry to hear about your Buddhist ex I had a brief romantic phase with a Buddhist too who was ex alcoholic and turned out to be most selfish....! We do not get charged for the gohonzon in the UK perhaps it isn't as cutthroat as over in the States ..... I am pleased you were able to find a much more suitable partner.

Thank you both of you for the replies. The ex's grown up daughter accepts me as she is from Caribbean heritage and they all live in London where I used to live (although I was in the more leafy West London part as opposed to chavvy East London where they have always lived lol) that is why they accept me I never lived with her and indeed I was never with this ex joker long only 18 months o

Thank you Taitenandproud you have answered me so comprehensively I am quite bowled over and yes you are right about the SGI favouring motionless children the local co-ordinator has two just like that! Hello there I have been doing Nichiren Buddhism chanting since May 2009 and took up the gohonzon in March 2010 and I have found it extremely helpful however I have a huge problem with attendance and meetings and other members. I find it too focused on kosenrufu as the reality is the real world simply does not want it or even need it there are far more many 'capable individuals' out

Thank you for the replies! Taitenandproud you are bang on the money about none of them being real friends bar two of them one is a gay friend the other is a true soulmate male friend. The women in this location NEVER meet up or socialise with each other even if they are single - unless it is a tozo. Like you say they are NOT real friends! However this part of the UK is cripplingly lackin

Thank you for the replies so far very reassuring for me! I have been reading the SGI threads too yes I am aware of these. I am on the journey of what I call 'fringe attendance' and I am aware that I will not get manipulated yes that is why I stand back. A great deal of my thoughts I keep to myself and so I either chant them out alone at home in front of the gohonzon or write th

Could anybody please give feedback on my situation please. I have been chanting NMRK since May 2009 in the UK and I got the gohonzon in March 2010. I find the essence of the practice and results from the chanting absolutely fine. However our local co-ordinator is not supportive it has ruined my enjoyment of the practice over the years it put me off attending meetings the whole of 2011. Sh
