QuoteJack Oskar LarmRegarding 'fraudulent' posts, I stand by every one of mine; if there's any doubt, the doubter can come and talk to me ... I wish they would come and talk to me, I'd give them a stand to "acknowledge."

QuoteZorroLooks like Mill 3 has been around for awhile. I still find it ironic they are down the street from Landmark Dallas. It's either sucking recruits from LE, or it's just another shift of money back to Werner.

QuoteZorroThese esti organizations seem like a mutating virus. Having various strains pop up here and there. It's odd that Dallas is such a breeding ground for these things. Landmark has a good foot hold, then up pops Discovery Training and now Millennium 3. What else is out there lurking in my city? I'm afraid to find out. Look, any good dope dealer knows this: if your product is ste

QuoteCosmophilospherIf you want to LEARN something, take a reputable course. If you want to explore your psychology, get some GOOD therapy. If you have a problem, perhaps try group therapy, with NO LEADER. Addendum, NO LEADER but a professional therapist I wish I could tattooed that on people's foreheads or at least get it printed on a birth certificate.

Answer to question 1) YES Answer to question 2) NO Do your research paper from there, check out what Yalom had to say on LGATs, and move on. What might be right for you, may not be right for some...large numbers of people.

Quoteelena Martin Seligman's books are a good place to start. He has a website now. Or, to start at the beginning, David Burns' "Feeling Good," and Daniel Goleman's, "Emotional Intelligence." Ellen Elena, I've used these texts in practice actually...and have had a high degree of success!

QuotebucknduckYes, in Texas. Maybe I should be a little more specific with my question (and also ask if it's an ok question - on topic). The Lifespring training mentioned an excersize where people are on a lifeboat and have straws to give to save lives. My previously suicidal friend believes this type excersize helped him a great deal. I personally can see no value in the Red/Black ga

I can tell you this: Gestalt therapy and Gestlat techniques do not have much success, if any. I emphasize the latter part, and most decent practitioners know this...and research back it up. CBT is your best bet. I do it, I challenge widely-held thoughts that are not true and follow the logic through. More importantly, it's not just me telling them...I empasize that they do large amounts o

QuoteON2 LFQuoteVic-LucThe downside: smoking. Switch to nicotine lozenges. Smoking is horrible for bipolar disorder and depression. Can you elaborate a bit Vic-Luc? I've been debating whether to try and explaining it simply or going the science route and this is where I'm stuck. Everything I've learned shows that not only does smoking predispose one to future mental illness, i

QuotebucknduckGreetings, I'm posting this here, rather than starting a new post, but I hope some of the regulars will still see it. First - Rick - great site. I've spent all day reading. I am finishing my Masters in Counseling and am pursuing my LPC. I went through an LGAT about 4 years ago (though I didn't know the term!). The one I went through isn't listed directl

From what I can gather reading that pile, an LE legal maneuver via Wiki stopped the Media Cabal for Dispute Resolution dead before it could get started. LE is now using the Wiki legal process as it does in the courtrooms...suppress any and all information not approved by LE itself.

Quotehappy One question I would like to know is what was it that your wives did that was so bad when they came back from Discovery? Did they treat you badly? Did they tell you things that you did not like? What was it? We all know what the answer to that was. "We all know what the answer to that was." Um, no we don't. The "GOSSIP" you guys speak of was to allow an non-questioning of authority and to facilitate hostile confrontation. If you're talking to a mediator/middleman because you fear the person in question or need a second opinion, it's not gossip. It's called "staffing."

Sylvia... you may want to look into Lamictal. You make find that the reasoning a doctor gave you about Depakote and seizures fits well with this. I understand Cymbalta works well and is fairly fast-acting. Good luck. About diet, one thing is a given: you can't control everything. You can induce anxiety to that end. Or suddenly develop an allergic reaction to one of those supplements.
