I don't recall this specifically being posted on this thread (especially with reliable source links), and I think it's important, regardless of one's religious affiliations: THE LDS VIEW ON SELF-AWARENESS GROUPS (aka Impact Trainings & all other LGAT's) Self-Awareness Groups The First Presidency sent the following letter, dated 21 June 1999, to priesthood le

QuoteSaneAgainHello fatherof3, I can relate to what you're saying because its exactly what I would have said if I'd found this forum after doing Quest (South Africa). I remember feeling lighter and more relaxed, more open to fun and less concerned about what people think of me. I thought Quest was great. Unfortunately since then I've learnt differently. You said:

Quotefatherof3I want to apologize to anyone that thought i was judging them. I understand that it must be very difficult to see that people were harmed in something that was so valuable to you. I can understand where you're coming from. Quotefatherof3I have a hard time putting on paper what is in my mind most of the time. I feel this way most of the time, too. :P Quotefatherof3I am not

Quotefatherof3 It is interesting how people will be quick to slam something that they no nothing about. It is interesting that you assume that we know nothing about Impact. I have attended Quest and several family members and a close friend have all gone through Lift-Off. Many of the frequent posters on here have attended TIT, and some have gone through TIT 3 and been involved for several years.

QuoteHopeful SoulFor those disaffected mastery level graduates that still have any latent god like powers, you know what you need to do. Hopeful I am going to say this as directly as possible (and this is one of few things lately that I KNOW to be 100% true in my mind and heart: Impact trainings doesn't give ANYONE any useful tools, let alone God-like powers. They ONLY brainwash you into b

I did this demonstration with one of the people who recommended I go to Impact. Put a marker or pen on the floor. Now pick it up... without trying. When the person began to reach for it I said, "Stop, you're trying..." "Don't think about it, just pick it up!" It was so silly that she started laughing, but she got the point immediately. How tired, bored and sug

It's been a little while since I've been on here. Unfortunately, it took a few more days for the entire aftermath of Quest to hit me with full force. I had to take a hiatus from reading this board because I would start to have an anxiety attack when I read any of the posts. I admit this is somewhat embarrassing since I only went to Quest, however I signed up for a therapist yesterday to

Ok, I did it. I sent out an email to my quest group detailing my thoughts on the whole thing, the logical fallacies I found in some of the philosophies, a link to this message board (let's see if anyone joins in?), a list of Hans' claims and quotes from TIT taken from this message board, and the warning about LGAT's from the LDS church. It was very healing to write the message, but

Greetings everyone, I just barely finished Quest last week. I am in the process of reading the contents of this entire thread. I am about half way through the 26 page saga, and I plan on finishing it as soon as I have time. I just have to say to most everyone who has posted here: thank you for all that you have shared. I only went though Quest and the few days I've had since graduation ha
