Rabbi Alan Lew, now deceased, wrote a memoir entitled One God Clapping. It is a fascinating read, and in it he has a chapter describing how, when he was a young
rabbi, at his first or perhaps second pulpit assignment, he was approached by a man
who told him about a study circle, led by a Kabbalah master.
