If you want to see the amount of ghastly superstition involved, do a google search with Kabbalah Centre in the exact phrase slot, and amulets in the all words slot. This is all about superstition. And what are the states of mind that fuel and maintain superstion? Fear and Greed Real spirituality would free us from needing trickets, not fuel us into buying more and more of them.

Word to the wise: Run background checks if you want to purchase study materials, jewelry or ritual items for Jewish practice. If you have decided that you do not want to support Kabbalah Centre, take care to structure your search and eliminate businesses or artists which have connection in any way with Kabbalah Centre.

It would be nice if it could be proven because I -for one- have suffered so much as a result of my involvement with the Kabbalah Centre and I'm still trying to figure out if this suffering is "a test," but -I mean- how long do you have to suffer and how do you know if you are suffering because it is a test of faith or if you are suffering because this spiritual study, the way they

Hi  R2010 I'm glad you are breaking free from the Sufi cult you were in. However there is a bit of confusion here, which is mostly the result of the absolutist nature of these esoteric cults. The easiest way to express the mix up is to say that the Samael Aun Weor teachings have no major connection to sufism. One thing to keep in mind is that no one owns the world Gnosis or Gnosti

That is why you are searching here for information on the Kabbalah Centre. I just had an email from a former student who after spending over $35K at his local Kabbalah Centre. He now realizes the Center was more interested in the stae of his wallet. And not

Update. SFK which stood for "Spirituality for Kids". Now because of all the bad press SFK has had in Places like London. And the obvious "Religiousness" of SFK. Now SFK stands for "Success for Kids". How convenient. Presto, no more "Religious" connection. Don't be fooled folks. Still the same curriculum. And by the way. Just another "Financial&

This persons teacher approached the member and explained that for a DONATION, he could pray for the elevation of this dead persons soul. $35,000.00 was asked of the member for the "PRAYER" and elevati

Recently Yehuda Berg was interviewed in Manila. He is selling his new book. And explaining how kabbalah is NOT a religion. This is the first time you will see him not wearing his Yarmulke. . The rules are always changing. Right now the Kabbalah Center is pushing for a friendlier kinder center. In regards to Freud he could be regarded to being a one on one cult like the situation of abuse in the way the he dealt with his students. Carl Jung was not the only one to messed up from his experience with Sigmund, others even went to the extent of suicide.

Carl Jung is a rather different situation. Do you know that he started having mystical experiences before the age of 5? Freud was more of a break down which lead to him knowing he had to fully explore the Collective unconscious and face his understanding the world was not just materialistic, that spirituality was valid and that the mind was not all about sex.

I think you're right about the hazards of collectives and ingrown groups where access to outside commitments is reduced. Lew noted that it was his commitment to his own family and congregation that gave him what he needed to see that he had to make a choice between the fascinations and pull of the Kabbalah group he'd been recruited into, vs his family and pulpit. Still, its worth

Thanks Corboy, I think there are also many non associated Kabbalahists. It would appear that this is another example of a very powerful psychological program, that needs a lot of self control and if introduced to those who don't have if there is a great potential for manipulation. I'm kinda suspicious of the usual teaching in Judaism that only after experienced study should one

Rabbi Alan Lew, now deceased, wrote a memoir entitled One God Clapping. It is a fascinating read, and in it he has a chapter describing how, when he was a young rabbi, at his first or perhaps second pulpit assignment, he was approached by a man who told him about a study circle, led by a Kabbalah master. Lew was spiritually quite sensitive and described what happened to him in the group--it

An interest of mine is to seperate Kabbalah as a spiritual tradition from the Kabbalah centre. It is tricky because the Kabbalah centre obviously uses elements of real Kabbalah. I'm not all that familiar with either but i have some interest in the true Kabbalah tradition as an outsider and as someone with respect for others spirituality, but I also see real nonsense coming from the Kabbalah

Is Madonna's new book a "cult's" hook? Madonna's new book The English Roses may be little more than the latest installment of her never-ending story regarding the recruitment of members for the so-called "Kabbalah Centre" led by Philip Berg. Only this time the star seems to have her sights set on kids. On a recent Oprah show the 20th Century pop icon tal

Quoterrmoderatorinifinitymike: Actually some groups called "cults" like Scientology and the Kabbalah Centre specifically target Hollywood stars and celebrities. And most stars don't join cults. That's very true, and it's sneaky as hell too for cults like moneytology to do that. However, i still think the reason stars actually JOIN cults like that is because many o

Hi again, I have discontinued all contact with BB but my close brush has left me pondering on what actually happened in my time online with them. This has prompted me to reflect a bit on my experience and these are the conclusions I have come to, 1) Due to its lineage BB is basically an organization with values akin to orthodox Judaism, hence only married men do the bulk of the work, wom

I've always considered myself a fairly intelligent, but open minded and stable person but with the commopn defect of always searching for something. jaim--I fell for it for three main reasons: 1. The Kabbalah Centre is so obviously a money-making scheme and their teachings are so basic a thoughtful teenager could have created them. Finding a free resource that is much, much deeper and more complex caught my interest right away and didn't seem like there would be a problem. 2. Machsom, as a concept, doesn't seem too outrageous
