They continue to destroy my friendships. They are a 'deliverance cult' that hides behind the front of being a 'recovery ministry'. Dont get me wrong, helping a person to recover from drugs and alcohol is a great thing. But using that as a front is wrong. I understand now. Isolation is important to keep an addict away from drugs and alcohol. Isolation is also a tool to force yo

I have lost a few friendships over the past couple years that I spent participating at The Secret Place Ministry Center. I recently found out why. That head pastor continues to talk smack about me that isnt true. He is very good at turning people against one another. I dont know why he is like that. I still have a few friends there, and they continue to report to me and tell me what is being said

Since all this began and I stood up and expressed myself about this 'place'. I have been shocked. There are other people in this community that have approached me with their complaints about this so-called ministry. So Im not the only one. I have shared what I have learned lately and others have shared what they know. These deliverance ministries actually harm as many people as they hel

I had a short conversation with a close friend today about the whole spirit of Antichrist thing. And I learned something. Everytime I disagreed with the crap they teach, I was labelled. I was told I had the spirit of Antichrist because I didnt agree with what they were trying to convince me to believe. I was told its a method of protection. At first I did not understand this. So I was given an ex

UPDATE: This 'deliverance' ministry seems to be laying low. Things are changing since I came forward. Yes, I forgive them. Its like they screwed up and they know it. I am still waiting to see if I can get my job back. More than a few people have came to me and asked me about what happened. I dont really want to talk about it, but I should. A young lady approached me in my church and tol

Well... after its all said and done and I got all that crap off my chest. I FORGIVE THEM. I have learned alot about leaders and groups. I have had one heck of an experience lately. A real roller coaster ride for the past month, but I FORGIVE THEM. I forgive The Secret Place and Vision Life Ministry. I forgive all the people involved for everything that was said and done. I forgive my workplace. I

All my personal beliefs as a Christian aside for a moment. And all my personal issues as a person aside. It is the behavior of the leadership at The Secret Place that truly disturbs me. The 'Know it all, Im always right' attitude. The way they responded when I told 'em I was done and didnt need their stuff anymore. The way the head pastor began communicating with my boss and eventu

The best way I can relate my experience with the Secret Place Ministry and the whole Vision Life caca.... Is with a gallon of milk. Every morning as I woke up and prayed and made my daily cup of coffee. I poured a little milk into my drink. Each day I thought this was healthy and good for my body to grow. I continued to do this for way too long. As each day passed, my body absorbed the nutr

Icould not have said it any better than this..... Countless thousands of Americans have submitted their lives to the control of unscrupulous leaders who claim to be ordained by God. The leaders of these destructive Bible-based groups entice the unwary with their vain promises. In turn, individual lives are disrupted and families are divided. While many people have simply walked away from

Its OK to Point Out Manipulative Behavior Go ahead. Point out behavior in an organization that is controlling and manipulative. Its OK to do that. It is often the case that anyone who criticizes a deliverance ministers teachings is said to be under the influence of an evil spirit, such as the spirit of Antichrist, spirit of Jezebel, spirit of rebellion etc. This tactic of demonizing a critic i

I am being labelled a liar. I am being ostracized from friendships I had in that ministry. They were my friends. They are no longer allowed to talk with me. They say 'I cant have this conversation with you' or 'I dont want to get in trouble'. And the rumor mill has started rolling. Supposedly, I want the head pastors job. NO WAY! And I have been cuss-mouthing elderly people in

Just found this.... And it is something I can relate to and have witnessed for myself. Deliverance Ministry "Exorcised of her demons" July 2000 By an estranged husband and father I am writing this letter to serve as a personal testimony, regarding cult activities in my area. About four years ago my wife became involved with a small group of people who claim to be "pr

Slowly but surely I am shedding away everything they taught me. Getting back to where I was before, 3 years ago. All I need is Bible study, prayer, and sharing my testimony. I dont need all this other crap. I dont need a pastor over me that tells me I have all these things wrong with me, especially if he thinks his method is the only way to 'fix' it. I appreciate what every church in my

Having spent hundreds of dollars on this stuff, I feel like I can give it a full review. On a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being real and 10 being fake. I give it a 9. I mean come on. Buying deliverance? I feel like a fool for falling for it. But these people are well trained in deception. I spent way to much to be trained to do what they do. I know all their tricks. I am trained to do everything they do.

The problems that were put into my mind are fading away. I had to do some de-programming on myself. I no longer see myself in need for deliverance. I no longer see myself based on my past. Traumatic events, demons, spirits, and curses hovering over me. I now see myself the way God sees me. I am loved no matter what. I dwell in the 'real' secret place of The Most High. I see myself as l

I went through their 'deliverance' a few times. It costs $75 a pop (I got a discount tho). Everything I went there for... PTSD, smoking cigarettes, anxiety etc. remained. I was not delivered from anything. I would urge anyone who wishes to try this 'deliverance' they perform to just do it once. Or avoid it all together. Dont let them convince you to do it multiple times. Afte

In other words... 'Theres no going back now'. After much research, I understand. Intimidation. Manipulation. And Isolation. Isolation is great for getting a person to sober up. Its also great to create a 'captive audience' to shove your beliefs down anothers throat. Intimidation and manipulation cost me my job. And it set me free. Once I broke free, the PTSD was trigger

Very helpful reply from CultWatch you are definitely *not* demon-possessed or cursed in our view, certainly not from something your father may or may not have done. We think there are two likely explanations for this group and what they've said to you: first that they are well-meaning but incorrect, and secondly that they are charlatans who somehow want to manipulate you through fear.

I got involved with The Secret Place Ministry which is an outreach program of Vision Life Ministry. I made an agreement with them that I could share all my thoughts and feelings and they would keep it confidential. They told me I had many spirits and curses even though I have been a Christian since the 3rd grade. Having accepted Christ decades ago, it was hard for me to swallow that I had the spi
