McKay claims they were given $10,000 (pennies really when you consider the many hours of unpaid labour) to go away and do their own work, separate from the group.

You have as much right as anybody else to be here. It's a public forum. You also came within a whisker of joining them so the cult has had an impact on your personal life. They even tried to get in your head when you were out there defending your country. As far as the xjcs go I think you should forget about them. They're basicially no longer involved.

QuotezeuszorWell, when they end up recruiting another kid (or worse) it's not going to be because I didn't do my damnest to try and prevent it. So you'll be holding Kate personally responsible (because of that one line) if that does happen? Jeezo! lol QuotezeuszorI reserve the right to express whatever I wish here, within the bounds of the rules of this forum. As a matter of

Here's the latest from one of the graduates who now claims to be a ''pastor''. At least if he were on probation or something, he'd be monitored and his activities would be limited. But nooo..."parental substitution" huh? That statement was just plain dumb. Some substitute. Just ask Joe's mom maybe, or Trevor's. Zeuszor, I can't

I asked my old boy about Donovan. He described him as a poor mans Bob Dylan. Apparently he was born in Scotland but moved to England at a very young age.

Once again you are spot on, Malcolm. I've said it before and i'll say it again. We are dealing with one seriously disturbed individual here.

It all points towards a man who has a very soft approach towards paedophile's -- David Berg, Bruce Steel, ''X'', all very close associates of Dave McKay.

QuotezeuszorQuoteApolloI take it from his silence he doesn't consider David Berg to be a paedophile? Silence gives consent, as they say. I read on the ex Family forum he said he wouldn't dare suggest David Berg has gone to hell. It seems Dave believes paedophile's can still be accepted into the Kindom of Heaven.

QuotezeuszorLandon Donovan? No, I have not. Have you, Mal? No reply to your question yet, I see. He's only America's most famous footballer. He plays in the same team as David Beckham, La Galaxy. We all have different interests. Older music's your thing, football's my thing. Surprise surprise eh? He was online last night but failed to post.

Malcolm, No, I don't know of any covers. I don't have great knowledge of older music. I'm more interested in new music, chart music -- Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Lady Gaga!

QuotezeuszorScottish, no less, and never heard of Donovan? What a pity. He's certainly not a name often spoken about in the media. He may have been in the past, however. Have you heard of Landon Donovan?

QuotezeuszorIt would, yes. But I would not hold my breath waiting for a reply. At least, not an honest one. I may get a reply but I doubt i'll get an answer. QuotezeuszorHave you ever heard of Jack Bruce, mate? No, never heard of him. I see he was in some band called Cream. Never heard of them either.

QuoteMalcolm Wesley WRESTWhy did New Day Ministries bring the web site to a close? (A little "spooky" that they both opened and closed the site on McKay's birthday....Satan's humour?..... paying homage to one of his miserable servants?) That is weird. Maybe it was Dave who secretly ran the site. Who knows, it may have been part of a recruitment drive.... Oh look, t

QuotezeuszorWhat are you referring to, Mal? What web site is closed? Where do you see these dates? I do not understand, as I can view the NDN site that Apollo posted. On the opening page it says.... This website is now closed, and is presented as an archive. From December 17, 1999 until December 17, 2008 NewDayNews.com was one of the most visited websites for former members of "The F

''love the sinner but hate the sin.'' It's become a very popular line which Dave and his followers often publicly preach, usually when they're taking justice into their own hands (public whippings, kangaroo courts etc). It seems David Berg was the inspiration behind that line. I think Dave has always looked towards David Berg as some kind of mentor.

QuoteBlackhatFor examples of Dave upsetting X-Family members by downplaying the crimes of the COG, go to and use the search facility in the left hand tool-bar to search Dave McKay. The site doesn't give url's for search results, and I don't want to clog up this thread with large extracts (Mo's letters were enough!) but they all make for interesting reading. Thank

Berg lived in seclusion, communicating with his followers and the public via nearly 3,000 "Mo Letters"[1] that he wrote on a wide variety of subjects. His writings were often extreme and uncompromising in their denunciation of evil, yet he always admonished the reader to "love the sinner but hate the sin". He espoused doctrines that some mainstream Christians denounce as heret
