Anyone notice this link has been removed from Wikipedia? The footnote #14-"Controversy" has been taken off. Wonder why? Did Rick Ross website take this down?

Hey Everybody!! Google the following . . . "Richmond Outreach Center Real Estate Foundation, Inc." Ummmm . . . 4 million in assets. Now with all the things going on that are posted on this thread, sexual misconduct, lying, stealing, drug use (and believe me, I don't think you're lying)Why is this still in operation? I have heard that the houses are not financially support

I agree with friendofbill. And yes, G and the ROC are (sort of) famous - for Richmond that is. He has been profiled in Style Magazine article about Richmond's Top 40 Under 40. They are in the paper all the time. I bet thousands of people had never heard of Eddie Long until recently. (there's a large number of christians that do not watch christian tv b/c they think they are all schiste

do you guys realize you are doing exactly what you and many other folks have stated goes on at the roc? you are bickering back and forth and getting distracted from the real purpose of this forum-to make people aware of spiritual abuse tactics and how to escape, that they are not alone. please stay on track and don't be like those you have escaped from. God will take care of all this.

Will somone with inside information please, please, please . . . . REPORT THIS TO THE IRS and even the FBI if appliciable??????? It's been 9 or 10 years here in VA and many more before they came here. Someone has to know enough to get an investigation started without their identity being discovered. After so many years people get comfortable and they cannot possibily keep up with everything

I certainly was not defending the ROC. Not be any means. I am not even a member of it. Nor have I ever been a member. I find it amazing that 36 pages and 2 yrs. (+/-) of posts do not generate any more response from them. I appreciate the courage of some of the folks that HAVE left and their posts, such as Hiding4AReason. (previous). With such activities occuring, be sure that this WILL COME OU

I've been reading these posts for a while and even posted before myself. I have a Couple of questions: Can anyone explain the ROC Real Estate Foundation (listed on the VA Faith-Based Services website)? How did this become established? Isn't the purpose of a foundation to give away money? (see dictionary) How can a community leader allow 36 PAGES OF ALMOST ENTIRELY NEGATIVE MATE

Thank you. I was not familar with that but I can see how this behavior is so subtle. And yes the dictionary defination is somewhat generic. One question I have is WHAT compelles people to behave this way? Could this be based in childhood abandonment? It is something like: "Since everyone from my past has left me , I going to make sure you cannot, b/c you cannot make it without me."?

The term "brainwash" has been used many times thru out this thread. I just want to make sure I'm the alternation of kindness and crulety." (cited 7/27/10) If that is what happens there . . . THAT IS WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!! A true conversion to christianity should, over time, effect a radical change in ones ideas and beliefs---based on revelation knowledge of the Word o

No offense to anyone, but I am observing that what is going on, on this site is a "Discerning" of behaviors based on the written Word of God. God's word clearly commands to have nothing to do with the "brethren" that Practice a sinful lifestyle. (You can look it up). This is a discerning of how to live YOUR life. We must discern things every day. Which route to take to w

QuotecrmannyWow.. Heard rumors bout this sight around town here in Texas. I debated whether to write or not. I knew of G and rseen. Never met them personally but seen them around with there family. They were pretty cool dudes. I don't know firsthand about what happened with the girls. But as you can imagine stories change and the truth gets lost. But I do know there is some truth to those al

OK, I seldom take other people's word for stuff. It's not that I don't believe them, I just have that kind of mind that says "I know this is true b/c I looked it up for myself-here's where you can find the information". So . . . I looked on the IRS website under Charities & Nonprotifts and the ROC is listed there. (not really a surprise) however I also saw &quo

The building that the ROC is now located in was built as a dept. store called "Carousel". I've lived in Richmond all my life (not that you haven't) and I only add that info. to say how that strip originally developed. Perhaps the "Church"status could be confirmed by the IRS under the Freedom of Information Act. There is alot of information posted here. Much

To: Big Pun: Regarding Craig, Nancy and their 2 daughters in Texas . (posted 6/11/2009) I read that the parents didn't take any action at that time b/c of past problems (not related to sexual abuse) and were in fear of loosing the children. That fear is totally justified. However, the children are now adults with the freedom to pursue the law themselves. In Va. (and I'd bet Texas

I too stumbled across this board by accident. I have several thoughts I'd like to share and perhaps get feedback. First of all I am not now nor have I ever been a member of the ROC. My family is . . . what you might call "fans" of the ROC. I know you cannot go anywhere near there without hearing about Jesus, the cross, the blood and being born again, which I am. I have to s
