I'd love the answers to those questions. always did wonder why the auto shop closed. also think it is totally sickening that pastor g's testimony is now on YOUTUBE - that totally FAKE testimony that he uses. It just makes me absolutely sick.

oh and rocgurl, those outreaches you are referring to are the same ones G calls "another damn outreach". I know exactly who you are and you are as whacked as he is

I agree it is a messed up system, but it's the ROC and there is no accountability for anything they do and they still have so many followers - it's scary.

Also, at the Children's services, I know for a fact they "preach" to them and then ask who would like to have Jesus in their hearts. They ask for a showing of hands and then just count that number and report them as saved. I find this to be a weak practice, because you know how kids are - they want to raise their hands to be "counted". I never could accept that as them be

AW Stevens - I have posted this once before and I will again for your benefit. I used to be a faithful member of the ROC and remember specifically one night at Thursday night Bible Study (there used to be a question/answer session before the actually study) that someone asked Pastor G about the follow up to those who were saved and his response was that we are not responsible for the follow up -

when i found this site, through my daughter, who used to work at the ROC, i was amazed. I was already "out" by then, but it all started making sense, or as much as it can/could when i read the threads. It is hard to believe so many people are still being brainwashed. Yes, I view it as a cult and a scary one

good point Saw - hadn't thought about that. AWStevens made me wonder too. He was for the ROC, then against it and back and forth. If you read the threads and think about them and then can apply them to your experiences, it makes so much sense, but i guess you have to be willing to "see the light".

so is the ROC drama more active than usual these days? I wish ev1 would get a clue - EM, you must READ all the threads here and when you read them, think about what they are saying and how you can apply them to what you have seen/heard. All is NOT good, although alot is - it's that it is not done for the right reasons.

FreeAtLast - so glad to see you posting again. I know with me, it took something personal to make me starting "seeing the light" - and unfortunately that is how I got hurt, but that is also what keeps me from going back. It concerns me that there aren't many posts here anymore. Please don't let this die - it helps those of us who were hurt by the ROC and G. AW Stevens makes me

rite2no: asking those questions of the ROC "leaders" would only create more frustration and lies. They would justify each question. They are a dangerous group - those of who go to the ROC currently and have in the past can accuately and truthfully answer the questions. We know the answers. There is no way we could get the "leaders" to be honest. They don't have it in t

I think it is absolutely hilarious that G thinks he can do anything about any of us who post here. I welcome him. He doesn't scare me. He is full of it and so are his "pastors". Where I come from you cannot just name a pastor without going thru school - he has done this countless times. And none of them practice what they preach. It is almost laughable, except for the lives they ar

iswideopen - I share your concerns. I have alot of anger built up because of the ROC - I have not been successful in finding a church since I left there. I remember when my daughter was in the home, there was always almost spoiled food for them to prepare. On the weekend, I used to prepare huge meals and take to church for them to take back with them. At least they got one or two good meal

I am the mother of Xfan. It pains me that the main reason she was involved at the ROC was because I placed her in the youth home. I thought it was a great place. I have since found out it was a huge mistake. I read this thread daily and it does somewhat concern me that the posts are becoming rare. This is an ongoing problem and people need to vent as well as read. There was a question once ab
