Want to read a good book that talks about the testimony that is given at the ROC - read all about it in this book (if you can find one - funny the book sold for 14.95 on Amazon - a private seller has it listed for 129.00) Book was easy to come by until these postings started back in October/November. the book cannot be found anywhere. Wonder who bought them all up. The real story is in there.

preciouspa: I agree with you, people are to confess their sins and turn from in it- but we are also called to remove that brother/sister from the church if they don't repent. We are also suppose to examine our leadership and if things like this are happening, they are to step down I haven't seen or heard of any repenting. No I wasn't in Texas but the people that posted about Tex

My teen son still enjoyed it, so I allowed him. When the Roc baned a friend of mine that had been going for a long time - my eyes really started opening up and so did my sons. This m

Thank you Janett2 for saying what needed to be said. Everyone that defends the ROC comes on here and states the same thing. Oh, let by gones be by gones, it's just sin, la te da, what the heck - we aren't suppose to say anything against our brothers and sisters, it's okay, they are christians, so they sin a little, doesn't everyone. What's a little lie between brothers,

Dear rocgurl: It's not about making mistakes and not being forgiven, God calls us to cast out those brothers and sisters that continue to sin. Paul admonished the church in Corinth because they were continuing in sinful acts. Just because you are forgiven and can be forgiven, doesn't give you a license to continue to sin in ways that brings down the whole congregation. But when fal

It's sad that it has to come to this for people to start looking and listening. Aren't we to exemplify the character of Jesus Christ!!!! Everyone wants to sweep it under the rug, pretend it's not there, but it is. People, wake up. Are the blinders that heavy, that thick, that you value your socializing, your "feel good" mentality that you are willing to place this pe

It appears to me that EM and Yhall are one and the same, or better yet, who are they really??????? Notice how these two are the only ones that have been on this thread that makes it sound like you are at a saturday night ROC service listening to the ROC's accomplishments. The ROC does it all - no mention of God or Jesus, just the ROC and the staff. - Makes you wonder????

To EM: You are so deceived but then again so were we. It has nothing to do with casting stones at those that sin - no one on this post has ever said that - read what scripture says, not what someone tells you it says. We are all called to discern by reading the word, not listening to a man. We are to "judge" the fruits of those that call themselves righteous - actions do speak l

TO EM: noone ever said the man had to be perfect, that's unattainable, except if your name is Jesus Christ. But the bible does state that the shepherd leading the flock must lead by example as well as be accountable. Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from t

ABove all, we need to keep the people that are still there in prayer. God tells us that there will be wolves dressed in sheeps clothing who will deceive and manipulate. The bible states that we also must have a heart after God, if we have this heart, God will also give us a discerning spirit and those who love the dark will be exposed by the light. We need to pray that God's light will se

ineedthetruth: I'm sure that all you need to do is keep your eyes and ears open to really see what is going on. If you have been going to the ROC for a while, you are bound to see the indiscretions, etc. that occur all the time. Praise should be given to God, not man, tithing should go to further the kingdom of God, not to supply peoples "toys", vehicles, vacations, etc. Look

I agree that everyone gets chances as well - I'm not against grace and mercy I'm just not for priviledged grace and mercy - depending on who you are. The two that have responded that you go to the ROC and know personally how he is devoted to Jesus Christ 24/7 - you are either the Pastor incognito, one of his chosen or you have one of his CD's and are quoting one of his sermons.

Sparky, Let's see. I will address those that apply that I can think right off the bat: 1. Absolute authoritarnism: Number one on the list - he answers to no one!!!! He decides the fate of anyone there. There is a deacon team - that's a joke - they are hand picked and generally are those that see him as all knowing to begin with. They are not voted on, etc., no training - same

Sparky, Bingo - I have never seen a "true" financial ledger that lists where all the money that comes in goes - also, the pastor is the board - no one can remove him, he answers to no one - and he will tell you that - he states in his messages, if you don't like what is going on here, there is the door. kind of scary -

It really doesn't matter where he lives but I have been to his house and he does live in a 1.34 million dollar home - don't know where you get your information. From an excerpt from a website at Shepherdserve.org "We should be looking at the fruit of every spiritual leader in the church. Many of those who have left have tried to talk to him. We have listed the issues and he laughs in our face. You say we are judging and as christians we are not to do that. Read below an excerpt taken from a website Just a few more seconds after Jesus said, "Judge not," He also instructed His followers to appraise spiritual leaders by their fruit. By so doing, they could determine if

The lies are rampant through the church. Yes, there are good people there who love God and they are being deceived. Drugs are a normal part of life there - he chooses the downtrodden because they are duped into believing they have no place to go and they are used as free labor while the pockets of the leadership are being lined and stuffed. Fact: steriods were at one point being used and foun

The testimony that he stands up there and gives his church and other churches is false. He met his dad long before he was ever saved. This story was concocted because "it sold" as was stated by one in his leadership. It is sad the number of faithful people that are being deceived by this one lie, let alone all the others that are being told. The biggest lie of all is that people ar
