Jonathon, It appears he regularly goes to Norway to teach. Is he shutting down his practice at St. James Square, I wonder. It hasn't been working out for him? But why Bulgaria?

Gita, Evidently you possess much information concerning Hansard. Do you know if any of the therapists he saw gave a diagnosis? I'm also wondering......he was quick to use the words transference. Do you think his pattern is intentional exploitation for his own emotional satisfaction or because he is actually untrained and simply slides into counter-transference? Based on your experience

1. Complaint to the governing association. 2. Complaint to the police. 3. Lawsuit. 4. Direct confrontation. 5. Accept your own responsibility in what happened and move on. Whichever applies. In the scenario you describe the woman would need a lot of support doing any of those things and besides any therapeutic assistance that might be required I would help her decide what she wants to d

The world could certainly use a few more gods of compassion, but some how I don't think Hansard fits the bill. On the other hand at least his research was not all lies. According to Russian based Bon practitiioners there is such a things as the Northern Treasure School: "Tönpa Shenrab taught his doctrines in two systems: The first classification is called Thegpa Rimgu`i Bön (2) (Theg

The ngondro as outlined in Ole's book is authentic as far as I can tell, though the description of the mandala offerings is incomprehenislbe to me.

Shenla Okar is one of the main deities in bon; kind of like chenrezig in bhuddism or even vishnu in hinduism. So are you saying he claims to be an emination of that deity, or claims allegiance to it? Does he believe his own mythology, do you know?

QuoteEmma CAnother Diamond Way book has been leaked onto the internet! This is the 'Mandala Offerings' ritual that is a major money spinner for the Diamond Way cult. You only get to do this once you are high up enough in the hierarchy. Those doing it are not allowed to tell those lower down about what it contains and lie to both them and the public about it. In this way it is like

I found this on another site: "The true beliefs of the group are kept secret from members until they are sufficiently brainwashed, and before that are lied to, just as Diamond Way lies to the public about it's true beliefs. Members only get to the really weird stuff once they get higher up in the hierarchy. Those higher up in this heirachy lie to both those lower down and to the pu

Sam, I liked your post down to the part about "free love" and the "oppurtunity to participate in that." While not directly abusive, it is a fact of these types of groups that individuals wish to please the leader as the leader is seen as the source of the blessings the individual is seeking. It is irresponsible in the extreme for Ole to think that sexual relations with him

Hello Gita, You seem to speak with a lot of inside knowledge about Hansard's tactics and the nature of his personality. Do you have any information concerning his back story. Specifically, how he first hatched his story and the research methods he used to creatively support his story. This is important because it speaks to the power of his deception and the "means of his madness.&quo

I hate to have to bring this up here because I enjoy this authors topics and I know she is much loved by many people. However, after reading an interview with her she is obviously not getting the message. Her CD set, Entering The Castle, and now, Channeling Grace, is filled with examples of psychic abuse. She uses meditation to lead people into an altered state of consciusness and then, rather th

Gita, Conning the traumatized individual into parenting the wounded inner child is a very interesting dynamic and is something I have seen often with persons who have a sexual addiction - which is what I think Hansard's thing is. People often don't rtealize that sexual addictions can be as compelling and can drive behaviour just as strongly as any narcotic addiction. What makes Hansa

Pema, In practical terms, what is the difference between dzogchen and vajrayana? Dzogchen doesn't use budda forms and the like? I had presumed that the natural state supposedly the result of mahamudra awareness was the same as rigpa, but its not?

Pema, Although I agree with you that teachers should not be sleeping with students, clients, or whatever, I must protest your use of the phrase, 'sexual conquest.' That suggests you have some insight into the motives of Ole while the turth might be a whole lot less interesting: it is the nature of the man to enjoy sexual and sensual relations with women. It might be interesting to kn

Pema, Why would you say Ole is a "white supremist." He is definately patriarchal and militaristic (he is a former boxer after all), but white supremist? I don't think he would be so popular around the world if that was the case. Are you referring to his outspoken views about Islam? If anything describes him it would be that he is kind of the CEO for lay Bhuddism.

By what I heard the treasure didn't sound like it was really a major factor in the dispute but then again the fact that everyone is downplaying that may point to the idea that it was. So that is your view, that a large part of the reason for there being two karmapas is competition over wealth? Perhaps the Chinese supported the other karmapa in order to control the wealth and thus take some p

I would also like to say that in the diamond way centre in my town they have a library of bhuddist teachings generally and when I was going to lectures nobody asked me for money. But in view of the fact that there are hundreds of diamond way centres I have no doubt that some of them are filled with abusive and probably even mentally ill people, since that is the landscape in which we live. That i

Pema, I'm not necessarily diagreeing with you, but saying someone is a sexual predator is a pretty strong statement. Ole always seemed loose with his zipper but that seemed like part of his laissez-faire northern european lifestyle more than anything else. Also, in a recent video shown on youtube he states clearly that he is very happy when 'students leave together.' That is why

Well, I was curious to know because I once new quite a few Nydahl followers that talked and walked like him but also others that weren't culties at all. So I was wondering where that was at. I rather liked his wife and was sad to hear that she died. Their story of going to Tibet and meeting the 16th karmapa and practicing ngondro is a real story.

In case anyone is interested Laiku is a Lithuanian word that roughly translates as "on-time," which I supposed good be turned around to suggest "timely."
