Hello to those people here who've have such a traumatic experience. I'm sorry for what happened to you. Psychosis at a LGAT is not what you expect or bargain for. It brings back memories of the psychosis I experienced in "the blocks game" in Money & You. We were also sleep and food deprived for the entire 3 1/2 days. It was common for the seminars to finish at 1 am an

Hi there, This may be of I interest. Anthony Robbins is a Notable Money & You Graduate. I did that LGAT and I can say from experience some of the processes and games, even the language was borrowed from Scientology. They don't necessarily have any affiliation because Money & You borrowed from various sources to create their seminar. Hope this sheds some light. I have

A good, critical article about Tony Robbins: Quote: "We’ve been sold an idea that it’s possible for us to simultaneously make a million dollars, be madly in love with our partner, have explosive sex, wake up looking like a model, and tackle every single day brimming with happiness and excitement. Worse still, the personal development industry has tricked us into believing that if we

An example of one of The Anticult's posts. He gives Tony Robbins, Byron Katie and many others a good caning, all over this forum. Unfortunately, I think he is on the money. Hi there Just wanted to say I attended Tony Robbins UPW, then followed up with Wealth Mastery, and Date with Destiny, all in all about $10,000 worth. I loved it, totally was 'stepping up' and 'playing full out' for these events. I did DWD last (took ages to save up the $$), but only made it to about Day 4 of because due to lack of sleep and food (we were finishing at 1am

Very good advice to immediately and permanently stop any communication with anyone who practices overt NLP-Hypnosis for profit. Especially anyone associated with the Tony Robbins companies, as they are constantly messing with your mind using very advanced techniques of persuasion. Of course these days people are doing it COVERTLY so its difficult to know who is doing what, which is their poin

QuoteGell1234 So what do you suggest other than nlp? For what? Personally I would not suggest using or submitting yourself to anything like NLP, for any purposes at all that something like NLP might be utilized. I would certainly suggest educating oneself about NLP in order to become less vulnerable to its covert assault by snake oil salesmen the world over -- but doing so independent of th

The after affects of being involved in aggressive positivity-like cults, has left me numb and lacking motivation for growth. I am turning to therapy for help in some areas, which books can not help with. However, I was wondering if there were any legit self-help books. I read some anthony robbins, eckhart tolle, and some other spiritual self-helpy stuff, but it lead to many problems, and create a

The comments on The Guardian site are interesting. There are some Robbins "volunteers" posting, who volunteered at Robbins seminars for 9 YEARS. They worked for free to make Tony more millions of dollars for almost a decade of their life. Its all just a big game for guys like Robbins. Getting people to work for you for free, is a game to him. People are just objects to use. The

Yes, that person above was a Robbins Clone, who was scammed by Robbins and took all his LGAT courses. Then that person goes out and tried to scam others, using the same tech, but obviously doing it very badly. They will simply lie about their net worth, or figure out a way to forge the paperwork if they can get away with it. Anyone who has trained with Robbins, is essentially a professional

Someone who works in a professional capacity sent me this. QuoteHere's a link to the Guardian article about Tony Robbins' foot-blistering fiasco. The comments are well worth reading, especially the one from a Robbins acolyte: From The Guardian--an article on the Tony Robbins 'Situation.' The person also recalled an attempt by someone opportunistic to get access:

They are already blaming the victims. The original article quotes a Robbinite follower, that you won't get burned if you are in a "peak state", which of course is a lie. A brazen lie. You don't get burned if there is lots of ash covering the coals acting as an insulator, and you pass over quickly. But Robbins screwed up, got sloppy, and these people BLINDLY walked over re

What Anticult said. My guess is that Robbins leaves human wreckage wherever he holds his seminars. I remember my NLP training and it was sedate compared to the full on emotional and hypnotic assault of Robbins. Anyone who is emotionally fragile or has a underlying psychological issue can be serious messed up in these seminars. Thing is, higher the intensity the harder it is on certain people.

How many of these burn victims will be told (in someway) that it was their own fault for not having the faith or the trust in Tony to let go and "unleash the power within". Isn't there some lawyer/barrister out there that can bring a serious civil suit against this filthy pig?

They need to find a team of lawyers who work on contingency. The problem there, is all the lawyers care about is getting paid, making a settlement, and agreeing to non-disclosure. This is why the sharks like Tony Robbins and so many others, can do anything they want. And they know it. A shark knows the fishes are at his mercy. The only time a shark like Tony Robbins can get brought down, w

We may never learn whats going on if the plaintiffs agree to a settlement in which all the records are sealed. How can ordinary citizens (especially in this economy) find the stamina to hang in against someone with wealth and a fleet of personal assistants? Most of us dont have entourages. We gotta find our own parking spaces.

Many many people have been burned at these events, but its been covered up. But now a possible class action lawsuit from the injured parties as a group will expose the reality of what is really going on. Amazing. Let's hope this gives a big bump in the road for the bastard Tony Robbins. Apparently, he didn't allow enough ash to develop on the coal bed (which protects the skin from the heat) or that the people wrongly believed they had developed some "Special powers from within" and instead of moving quickly over the bed, they stood still or walked very slowly, thereby ne

I really like what this Thanissaro Bhikku (Pali scholar and monk in the Thai forest tradition) writes too. He reminds me of a teacher I knew once who also didn't do explanations at all--he did enduringly great jokes though and made me work the hardest I've ever had to work. Good times. This Thanissaro is likely a far from perfect person, but he writes good stuff and makes it a
