I honestly had no idea where to put this article, but it seems to me that the Governor of Connecticuit is trying to establish some cult-like relationship with his constituents.

The recent news of the governor giving away millions of dollars in state funds to overpriced contracts, in return for favors was shocking. The Governor and his wife's replies however, were even more shoking. Apparently, the governor is in direct contact with God. And his wife knows that the newspaper who ratted on her husband's dirty business deals are getting coal from Santa Claus.

Perhaps I'm being excessively sensitive here, but I think that using religion as an excuse to stay in office is deplorable. It's spiritual abuse, and reminds me of how loony Jimmy Swaggart and Jimmy Bakker were.
