Thought I should add a few pieces to the puzzle:

th231955 Monty was living in Ireland a few years ago.

I have heard a 1st hand account of WJ Stevens being inappropriate with a young woman. It is her story so I will not say more except that he wasn't as great as some think.

GH brought a word approx a month ago regarding the wood being pruned from the vines. This is NOT verbatim as I did not hear this 1st hand. Only the special people in the new inner circle heard it somewhere in the islands.

The humor here is definitely helping me heal. Thanks all you regular poster's.

He identified himself as wood? That's interesting :)

Thanks for the info about WJ Stevens, CARe. Would you feel comfortable telling the approximate time period that the inappropriate behavior occurred? That makes me sad, but sort of makes sense. His son was very comfortable being inappropriate toward a great many people, especially female people. : (

Welcome, th231955. You knew JRS before 1951? Interesting.

I guess we can consider ourselves fortunate to have been pruned from a poisonous plant.  Better to have an opportunity to be grafted into REALITY than to exist in the stupor of a toxic brew believing it to be nothing more than Kool-Aid.

th23195,
I received a few emails from regular posters, some who spent over 40 years in the Walk/TLWF, a good portion of it at Shiloh...and yet they have no idea who you might be. Can you drop some specific hints?
What seems strange, is that you indicate you are around 60 years old, yet knew John way before the Walk (if I have that correct). The Walk began in 1951, when John started the church in South Gate.

How is Harvey Bender related to Enos & John Bender?
