We’ve all heard the saying that “Freedom isn’t free”. As one of several who recently met with Onion and Reepicheep in the C. Springs area, I think those following this thread should be aware of the great cost Onion has paid to go public with her information. Perhaps Janis Joplin captures it best by saying, “Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.” At some point, threats mean nothing because there is nothing left to take. Her willingness to be as truthful as possible, no matter what the consequences, is bearing much fruit. I so appreciate her faithfulness and am certain it will not go unrewarded.
Many of us have heard rumors over the years of the destructive inner workings of TLWF leadership, but it has been very liberating to actually have someone turn on the lights and expose the darkness. If you have been following the Survivors thread on Facebook, you know that the problems go much deeper than just Rick. There is more information on the founders that has not been made public yet. One thing that will become increasingly clear to everyone is that they were never “Christ in the flesh” in the first place, but cons. The evil they accused others of doing is a much more accurate description of their own lives.
I’ve been amazed how quickly decades of TLWF deception have unraveled. Many who left years ago have struggled for a long time trying determine if TLWF was actually a cult or not. Personally, it took me years and about 20 cult books to come to the conclusions that many are coming to now in a matter of days. I’m so thankful for that! It will be interesting to see what people do with their new found freedom. It is easy to think that once you move out of your parent’s house, you will finally be able to do whatever you want, without consequences. However, life doesn’t work like that. Real freedom comes when you make good life choices and apply yourself. It looks a lot like work. When you do it well and start to reap the benefits, you have no interest whatsoever in ever moving back with your parents. If you do it poorly, you may end up like the Prodigal, just wanting to be treated like one of your father’s hired hands – and that’s not freedom.
