True Believers just take that as an affirmation that there are OTs ( people with super duper powers) in Scientology, when in FACT it is just a confirmation that Scientology maintains the largest standing private army of sleazy private investigators and lawyers on american soil.

Michael Tilse's "doubt Formula" is very helpful as it is written in the Scientologese Language.. which Hubbard developed, telling the rubes he needed unique words, but not telling them that the real purpose if the esoteric nomenclaturewas to build a linguistic wall stronger than the finest steel around their minds.

Obviously the bad press Scientology often receives has hurt the organization and they don't like it.

Evidence of this is the lawsuits they have filed against those that expose them and various harassment campaigns against reporters, dissidents and sources used by news publications.

If people speaking out and bad press didn't affect Scientology negatively, its founder L. Ron Hubbard, would not have devised rules and directives about how to handle this and Scientology would essentially do nothing.

Controversial groups that have been called "cults" like Scientology don't like bad press because it affects their ability to recruit and retain members.

They obviously spend much time and money trying to get good press and respond to whatever negative publicity and attention they receive.

Getting Scientologists to look at information from outside sources about their organization may be helpful. But educating the public not involved is an effective way of helping people make more informed decisions about joining in the first place.
