Here is a Fast Company article describing how Fernando Flores 'coaches' a management team.

I imagine it will rings some bells with est or Landmark participants.

Yep. Sounds exactly like Landmark. Flores might as well be a Forum leader, and the jargon is identical.

Thank you for this confirmation, kdag.

Consider this, that organization paid a huge fee to subject it management team to a Landmark program.

I wonder if Flores had members of the board sign waivers.

I wonder if any of them 'popped'.

I had to laugh at this:

"Our best comes out when we have honest discussions. Our worst comes out when we behave like robots or professionals. "

And then a few paragraphs later:

"Flores prompts Tomas, "Follow the script, exactly as it is written":

Assessor: [Name], [negative assessment]; [positive assessment].

Person assessed: [Name], thank you for your assessment. I appreciate your sincerity. I would like to have further conversations with you about the topic."

Well, so much for honesty. It had been a pretty harsh assessment, and Tomas was apparently staring at his notepad while uttering that.

Yes, indeedee, kdag,

And, the same goes for 'coach training', as in, "we are all gathered here to share 'our' experience and insights", and,

"NOW, LET ME TELL YOU HOW TO DO IT!!!"

"Did you have a question, SHUT UP!"

"Did 'I' just recommend a practice that controverts what I have been saying for 20 years, NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!"

What to do, what to do????

Flores comes out of that wonderful IT and linquistics background that produced NLP.

He is striving to reduce his participants to stim/response mechanisms; how he sees them.
