They probably picked it up from CultNews.

See [www.cultnews.com]

Art Schreiber is a reader.

He sent me a letter not long ago protesting the wording on one article and demanding a correction.

He probably picks up the RSS feed.
This is all very interesting.
Art Schreiber is Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of Landmark Education, and General Counsel. He was Werner Erhard's personal attorney, and had high leadership executive roles in both Erhard Seminars Training and Werner Erhard and Associates.

The videos on "2003 Inside Landmark Forum" were available on YouTube AND in the public domain at Internet Archive, here and here:

Schreiber must have threatened the sites with legal action, because both sites took down the videos on the same day, less than 2 weeks after they went up on the internet.

My only surprise is that YouTube and Internet Archive didn't even blink, and just took it down. You'd think they'd stand up a little bit more for free speech and all that.

Sure seems that way - He's probably sued virtually everyone else who's ever uttered a non-praising remark about Landmark Education, Werner Erhard, Werner Erhard and Associates, Erhard Seminars Training, etc.

At this time, it is currently unknown whether France 3 and Pieces a Conviction, Landmark Education, or some other entity complained simultaneously to these two hosting companies to have these videos removed on the exact same day. However, it is believed that Youtube had decided the video clips violated terms of use after Art Schreiber, General Counsel and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Landmark Education sent the organization a Digital Millenium Copyright Act notification. It is also believed that Pieces a Conviction and the France 3 television network have issued no complaints to date regarding the video's posting on the internet, which had previously aired to 1.5 million viewers in France. As of October 12, 2006, the video was available for viewing and downloading at Google Video, under the heading 2003_Inside_Landmark_Forum.

Perhaps now would be a good time to get the Electronic Frontier Foundation involved?
