FTC accepting public input/comments regarding MLM regulation

The FTC is proposing a regulation that would require MLM firms to make
disclosures to prospective recruits. While the proposal doesn't go far
enough, it is better than nothing. The Direct Selling Association (a
trade org and lobbying group that includes the biggest MLM's) is
mounting an aggressive campaign to prevent the regulation from being
adopted, or making it toothless.

I would urge you to submit a comment on the problems caused by MLM's,
and alert your readers about this. The deadline for comments - which
can be submitted on line - is July 17.

If you not yet sent your comments to the FTC regarding its proposed new
"business opportunity" rules, the deadline is July 17. You can send
comments on the the FTC on-line comment form.
