Sir or Madam:

On the evening of January 17, the Scientology cult was blocking the 42nd St tunnel
leading to the 6th Ave trains from the 7 train. They had set up their "Stress
Test" recruitment tables in the middle of the tunnel, taking up more than half
of the width of the tunnel, making it very difficult to pass. In order to pass,
one had to walk a gauntlet of Scientologists insisting that passerbys take their
Stress Test in an attempt to recruit them. This is not only illegal harassment,
but it is also a danger to people who take the train. In an event of an emergency,
the Scientology cult tables would severely restrict the flow of foot traffic, making
it difficult to move through the tunnel. It is my understanding that no one is
allow to set up tables in the 42nd St/6th Ave tunnel because it
is so narrow. I spoke to the token clerk on the 42nd and 5th side of the station
about the situation, but he did not appear to care. I would be most grateful if
you would tell me who I should contact about this situation so that they can be
cleaned out of the subway tunnels. The NYC subway does not exist for the Scientology
cult to use as a recruitment area.
